I used this to count money quickly from a fundraiser. While it definitely helped, there were several features that could be improved. First, the increments do not match the way that you normally count each coin. For example, the quarters are counted with this device in sets of 5, not 4! So, if you don’t have a full set for each “chunk/slot” you have to take a moment to figure out what amount you actually have. Second, it’s not convenient for rolling coins. The dimes, for example, when filling up the entire row, go up to $11, but a roll of dimes is $5, so if you fill up the whole dime row, you roll two sets, but you have a dollars worth of dines left over to contend with. Third, the chunks/slots aren’t perfect. Sometimes an extra dime or penny will fit into a slot, or there will only be 4 (all slots hold 5 coins), but the slot will look like it’s full. So overall 3 stars because it helped a lot, but not perfect in so many ways.

I love having this! It was super fast to sort out my change and also know how much you have. I had a peaceful Sunday just counting my coins and rolling them up! I didn’t have a hard time with removing the case cover but I also was careful to not pry it so that it wouldn’t break. After I used up most of the wrappers it came with, I just left the remaining change on the tray till I have more lose change and more wrappers to roll them up. I haven’t gone to the bank to deposit my money but my one piggy bank wrapping session yielded about $222.05 of lose change, I didn’t count the pennies yet lol! And I did make sure to wash my hands afterwards! This is great for kids to learn how to count money too! So easy to keep track of the amounts because they already have them on the tray!

This is a good sorter, but made of fairly thin plastic. It works for counting, but I wouldn’t use it to deal with customers – too likely to fall over. It’s an inexpensive fix for smaller businesses. Serves the purpose, pretty good quality, and good price.

Great product, it’s straight forward. The staggering of the coins allows you to pinch the coin and place it in the roll easily.

Makes life a lot easier counting the cash tray before and after my shift. In fact, I started taking a picture of the tray before and after my shift to document the coins in the drawer. Works like a charm. Very glad I bought it.
As many people described it was a little hard to pry the case off the first time. I used two letter openers at the clasps on one side of the drawer and got it open fairly easily. I was glad others warned me that it was a little hard but doable, otherwise I would have been very frustrated or afraid to try the letter openers.
I looked at other brands with reviews that the white painted numbers came off. These are painted over etched numbers and appear to be permanent. That was what convinced me to get this brand, even though I really didn’t care about the lid. Who knows, maybe it will come in handy some day.

I was so excited to get this in the mail! I accumulate a lot of tip change and wanted an easy way to count my coin.
I enjoy how each slot is marked with dollar values to make for easy math. The slots fit exactly 5 coins. Sometimes a 6th coin will stick out in between two slots. Other times I may overlook a gap in my coins. With the slanted slots, the coins are easily settled into their proper 5-per-slot space.
I also enjoy the “Coin-Tainer” coin wraps that came with the tray. They came loose, so I simply organized them by coin and wrapped each bundle with a rubber band. I store them with my coin tray. The wraps are easy to use and can be used more than once.
The counting tray has a dual purpose. The tray is able to count and store the coins. I usually use the tray to count the coins and store the coins separately.
I have had some difficulties removing the lid of the tray. Most of the time, I easily remove the lid by pulling at opposite sides of the lid. The lid occasionally gets stuck on the hooks that keep the lid in place. I simply loosen the lid from that area and it comes off.
The material is plastic. Do not hit with a hammer. The plastic will most likely break. For counting and storing coins, the material is perfectly durable.
I enjoy the soft black interior of the lid portion. It can serve as a background for depositing checks through mobile deposit.
I would give this product 4 stars if not for my love of counting coin. It is a good product.

If you’re looking at this because you need to better organize your change for home or office, just do it. You don’t need batteries, coins are easy to put in and remove, and you’ll keep better track of your coins. Period.
We bought this four our school store to better work with depositing change with the bank at Chase’s recommendation. The convenient lid makes it easy to store coins in between sale days until we have enough for a roll. It’s definitely sturdy, easy to use, and comes with papers for rolling coins, which is helpful. I only gave it 4 stars for “Easy to remove” because the lid is quite stiff. Use caution when removing it if it has coins inside or you’re likely to have it spring open, sending coins flying.

Not a bad tray, especially for the price.
Pros: Feels sturdy in hand, coin slots are the right size, the lid is pretty firm, and the rows have markings for completed rolls. Comes with a few rolls, but meh, that’s neither a big plus or minus.
Cons: Lid is kind of hard to get on and off, and if you jostle it and the little coin section isn’t full, coins will go everywhere (eg, the cent column is in stacks of 5 cents each, if you have 4 or fewer they’ll shift if it’s bumped.)
Question: Why does it need a warranty? It’s a tray, is it going to somehow stop holding things as time goes on?
Overall, like I said at the top, not bad, not perfect, but good for the money.
