Overall I think this was a good buy. I just tie wrapped this light bar to the existing, malfunctioning bar under the fish tan hood and turned it on. I have not set this up for auto on/off (I should) so I have to open the cabinet where the plug and switch is to turn it on with the remote. The switch isn’t placed on the cord far enough for it to hand on the outside of the cabinet so the signal is blocked until I open the door.
Not as bright as I wanted – touch of UV spectrum? I guess it’s better than the strobe light the original light turned into. My fish are now healing their damaged noses from trying to swim away.
My fish like it – guppies bore babies. Good enough for them – good for me then.

It’s a nice accessory to my fish aquarium. It’s easy to use. Nice. Beautiful, flashing variety of colors. It fits well it’s long jeopardy for I have had it for over a year. It has a very thin remote control. However, it’s very durable.

I agree with other reviewers saying it’s not very bright. I bought the 11inch for my 10 gallon, and even on the brightest setting, it leaves some to be desired. I also think the white light setting is way too blue. Combined with the lack of brightness, it just doesn’t do it for me, so I’ve been keeping it on the yellow or orange color settings. I really like the timer function and it works well. I thought I would have to turn the light on then set the timer every time but not, if cycles for you. I haven’t had any problems with the suction so far and I’ve had it for about a week. I think I will be returning it though for something that better suits my lighting needs.

This light could be brighter, but at 13 watts it’s not meant to totally light your aquarium. It’s meant to accent the décor, plants, and fish. The different colors are very nice. You have to aim the remote at the switch on the wire. I recommend.

This size (small) fits perfectly under the hood of my 3.5 gal shrimp tank which had a small dim light w/it. Has good color range/option but the remote is poor and interacts w/everything else in the room.The suction cups really suck! I’ve never said this about a product in a good way before lol

This light technically works and sticks well to the top of the tank, however, the “white” light setting glows blue and does not light up the whole tank as much as the light that came with the tank kit. It’s a decent replacement light for a 5 gallon, but my 10 gallon is still very dark, and I may have to order a second one to make it brighter. I do appreciate the timer function. This makes it very easy to turn the tank on and off without leaving the light on too long.

It’s a nice light, lots of colour choices. The timer is really helpful. The only issue I had was I found the directions confusing.
The remote doesn’t work unless you have an open aquarium stand or leave the door open.

The only downfall about this light when you put it on night vision it stays on there for a little while and then it gets brighter during the night but other than that really love that you can change the colors on the light it really brightens up my fish tank I did not use the suction cups that it came with I drilled holes in the lid of my tank and zip tied it to that only because of what the other review say about the suction cup how they don’t stay
