Product good but didnโt supply a plug so had to order an adaptor which I thought wasnโt great. Arrived on time and no other problems

Ill start off by saying this product definitely isn’t for everyone. There are better grills you can get if you can cook outside, and their are cheaper griddle options you can get from stove top pans to electric griddles you should consider.
However, I wanted this product from other competitors as it fits my case for where i find it to be really useful.
I have an electric stovetop, which traditionally when I cook on doesn’t distribute heat evenly, so getting a stovetop griddle was out of the conversation for me, as well as a stovetop grill. Stovetop grills are also really difficult to clean – there is a reason people tend to give these away to others after using it for a bit.
I also live in a rental, and although I probably can cook on my porch, there are a looooot of bugs outside. To the point where I’m having issues keeping my screen window open to get in airflow into my house as I get nats coming in everyday dying to my bug zappers.
I also generally don’t know the HSA rules for my property since I’m just renting the spot, so I try to avoid doing things that may be an issue on that front.
The other products that I was looking at (which I think was the hamilton beach) was cheaper, but didn’t reach the temperature this one provided. This unit is also much easier to clean in comparison, as you can take off all components from the pans to the smoke cover to wash them.
Firstly, this is not a smokeless product. This will reduce smoke that your food may produce, but don’t purchase this and believe that your food won’t create steam. Physically that is not possible, as the water leaving your food has to travel somewhere in some form, but the top of the vent gives you a way to dissipate the smoke to those vents to reduce what comes out overall.
I’ve cooked on both the griddle and the grill, and haven’t had issues with either. You will need to wait 7 minutes before operating on the product, but once thats gone, the temperature is consistent across the entire pan.
The compact size allows me to cook what I want to cook and put it away in a pantry, as this isn’t a product that I want out all the time.
The product does seem to make some noise while operating, not really sure what this is from, but I’m assuming the pieces get rigid when their cooled off, and expand while in use which causes the unit to make noise from the expansion.
Overall, I don’t think this is for everyone but I think this is a solid grill for my use case and for my particular lifestyle, as I needed a product that is easy to clean, easy to store, cooks food evenly across the whole board, reduces smoke as much as possible (as I live in an apartment that has bad airflow without an AC. The window next to the window doesn’t even have a screen on it), and I could mimic when I want a reduced down version of what gets cooked on traditional grills that do reach the temperatures this unit provides. I live single, so in terms of a family I don’t think this would be a good unit as the plates in general are really compact, so you may need to spend more time to serve in those cases.

Wow, Ninja did it again. Beautiful, high heat grill with two plates. One if desire grill marks on your steak but also a flat plate for pancakes etc. or best of all, for indoor smash burgers! Works beautifully – crisps the patties as desired. Love this thing, live in a small open plan setting yet no problem with smoke on high heat and easy to clean. Do not regret this purchase and would purchase again. Large enough for a steak and a couple fruit/veg shish kobo’s – could be a larger size available for larger family maybe but I’m happy.

It is a good product. It grills very well. I did not experience any smoke with grilled chicken. The temperature settings were right on. I have not used the griddle feature yet, but Iโm sure that will be fine as well. My only criticism is that it really isnโt all that easy to clean. It is nonstick, but it takes several swipes to wipe out all of the grease before you can Wash. I do like the removable top feature. It makes washing the lid much easier. However, even after washing the grill and the top, you have to wipe down the item several times to make it clean enough to put away. And if you open the lid to turn things over, there is spatter. I guess thatโs to be expected, but after using my air fryer and the ease of cleanup, I expected this to be as easy. However, it is as advertised and I would say a good product.

I love ninja so had high hopes for this grill. However, itโs a US import so youโll need a US to UK plug adapter. However, during the first use the element blew. Was able to return for a refund but I am out of pocket from the plug adapter and sorting suitable packaging to return the postage. Donโt bother if you live in the UK.

Bought this for the days, when its too cold to fire up the outside grill, or too hot to be standing in the Texas Sun, have used the grill to cook hamburgers and steak, work awesome, it does smoke a little, but nothing that’s gonna set of a smoke alarm, we just turned of the range ventahood fan and it took care of it, and so easy to clean. we also used the griddle and the pancakes were perfect!!

I’m comparing this grill against the Hamilton Beach Searing Grill https://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach-25361-Removable-Stainless/dp/B00KLVY3TW/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=10I0LLUIICUYZ&keywords=hamilton+beach+grill&qid=1700351862&sprefix=hamilton+beach+grill%2Caps%2C102&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1.
I had the HB for 3 years, but the dial recently broke and I couldn’t control the temp anymore. I loved the HB and planned on buying the same one again, but I am also a big Ninja fan, and came across this grill, so I thought I’d try it out.
HB: About $70
Ninja: About $120
HB: low profile, which I loved
Ninja: extremely low profile, which is even better
HB: removable, windowed, covered lid
Ninja: removable, vented lid
HB: temperature dial goes up to 450F, light indicates when temperature is reached
Ninja: temperature dial up to 500F, light indicates power only
HB: open grates, allowing grease to drain into pan below, which I lined with aluminum foil to easily dispose
Ninja: closed “grate”, most of the grease drains to a ditch at the front of the grill.
HB: I put the lid and the grate into the dishwasher and it held up great. The grate was tougher to clean and did require a soft brush to scrub stuck, cooked-on food. The grease pan is large, removes, and is very easy to clean. I stuck in the dishwasher. Grease splatters on the insides walls of the frame and needs to be cleaned by hand. It’s hard to get it all.
Ninja: lid has lots of little vent holes. It seemed to clean by hand ok, but is also dishwasher safe, which is good. Grate has a very smooth surface, making it easy to wipe down. I don’t think you are supposed to put it in the dishwasher to protect the nonstick, but I probably will at some point. It doesn’t look like it will easily flake. The grate and the grease catcher are all one piece. The benefit to this is that all the splatters are contained, keeping the base pretty unscathed from splatters
HB: one grill plate
Ninja: the GR101 model includes a second interchangeable griddle plate.
The grate size is about the same for both grills, but I feel like the heating elements cover more surface area on the Ninja. The heating element is enclosed on the bottom of the grate on the HB, and if I recall circles the periphery. The Ninja has heat elements that completely covers the bottom and exposes more of the grill to heat.
Both easily fit 4 large hamburgers on the grill.
I’m on the fence about the Ninja lid. That’s going to take time to determine if a vented lid is problematic, or works as well as a fully covered lid.
Ninja Pros:
~i like that it has both a griddle and a grill plate. For me that is a space saver.
~The Ninja potentially gets hotter for quicker sear.
~The Ninja cleans up more completely
~The very low profile. I like to be able to put it away easily, and I like that it doesn’t take up all the counter space when I’m cooking
~cooks food really well and has great grill marks
~solid and well made
HP pros
~the open grate really does a better job of draining the grease off your food (i.e. hamburgers)
~less expensive
~full lid coverage with viewing window
~easy to handle and clean
Ninja cons
~honestly, I’m really surprised Ninja didn’t include the feature for the indicator light to cycle on and off when the grate temperature is reached. The instructions are to heat for 7 minutes, and, i guess assume it’s hot enough. I think this was a poor design decision. It’s not a huge deal to add, but a really beneficial feature to have. It’s what clued me in that my HB was broken.
~I’m on the fence about the closed grate. It definitely makes cleaning easier and more thorough, but I do think I prefer the grease to drain. Maybe after I’ve used it for more than just hamburger, I’ll adjust my opinion. I’m thinking about grilling asparagus, which would benefit from not having all the butter or oil drain off. Might be easier to grill salmon too. Hot dogs wouldn’t matter. I don’t believe it would matter for grilled chicken or a filet. I’ll have to try that too.
All in all, I’m really happy with the Ninja, and would recommend it to anyone. It’s well made and does what I want it to do, and then some. It stores easily and cleans easily. It cooks great. No major complaints, except for the light.
I’m looking forward to making more meals and also trying out the griddle. And I would definitely recommend.
