We purchased this thick glass hot air balloon and a metal hot air balloon for our back yard. This one looks much more realistic with the flickering light, but it only last 2 – 4 hours at night. We have it where the garage and tree casts shadows in the morning and afternoon, so it only gets a 2 – 3 hours of sunlight. If we move it to get more sun and angle the solar panel at a right angle to the sun, then 4 – 5 hours of sunlight makes it last longer, but still not 8 – 10 hours. But it looks great just after sunset.
It was packed pretty well, and the only issue we had was the little balloon basket attached didn’t hang level. The basket was tilted, so we had to bend 2 of the 3 chains holding the basket to make it level. So far, it’s held up in wind and rain, and my moving it off the hanging hook to a planter box to angle it towards the sun for more solar charging.

Need an u forgettable gift? This is it!!! This is the 3rd solar hot air balloon I have bought. This Bee Kind is my favorite one, but you honestly cannot go wrong with any of them. These are even better in person. Super cute during the day & stunning at night with the flickering light. (I open before wrapping so I can set it outside in the sun and then repack it. This way it is charged & ready to use the same day it is given because you really want them to see it light up at night). It is very fragile, but it is packed carefully with thick styrofoam and arrived safely! I’ve been happy gifting them & is now my ‘go to’ gift.
