I recently purchased this pan from ppe/ thoroughbred diesel for a new addition to my truck/ transmission. Prior to installment I inspected new trans pan to insure all manufacture included hardware was accounted for, defects and that all fasteners were snug and properly sealed. Removed old trans pan cleaned matting surfaces installed the new gasket and torqued to spec ” ppe didnt even send me instructions or torque specs I had to google ” filled with fluid and away I went. Within the first two hours I noticed a leak where it had became obvious the silicone applied by the manufacturer was defective so I attempted to apply more silicone around the surrounding area ” additional temp port I believe ” and it’s not holding up. Now I need to pull the pan back off and go through this all over again otherwise itll leak. Additionally, I recently purchased their deep oil pan and likewise, it came without instructions on torque specs. Before a manufacture charges a willing to purchase customer 300 plus dollars for a product they’re selling, maybe they should insure everything is on the up and up with it first.

No complaints, Fit perfectly on my 2011 3500. Easy install, no leaks. Just make sure to clean it out well with brake clean and blow with air to get residual metal from machining cleaned out.

There’s nothing really wrong with it, it is made great and obvious quality, a little pricier than justified but PPE is kind of over priced on all their stuff. Install couldn’t be easier, torque your bolts to the specs in the directions, too tight or too loose with things like this will get you leaks in your final results. You don’t need the “filter locks” for it. It certainly looks nice, I didn’t buy it for bling though, I bought it on the belief it would keep my transmission cooler.
I only gave it 3 stars for two reasons:
1) What a gimmick, this thing hasn’t reduced my transmission temperature even 1 single degree either under normal driving or while towing max capacity.
2) It hangs down under the truck way too low. Other than the differential this is the lowest point hanging down under your truck. Way below the frame and crossmembers. It would certainly be a disaster if your truck is normal to +2” ride height and you hung this thing on a speed bump.

Looks nice, need a lift jack to make easy install due to the weight. Need to use deep internal filter. Does NOT decrease my transmission temperature up to 40 degrees or 30 degrees or 20 degrees or 10 degrees or 5 degrees ( ERRRRR ). Wasted my money. But it looks cool.

2002 LB7..straightforward install, ended up taking 14 qts total, more than I expected but very happy with the look. Hauled my camper up north and my trans never got over 195-200 which is at least a 20 degree drop from normal operating temps.
