It’s rare I post a bad review…. But here we are… they play smooth, yea, but what good is smooth if it falls apart all the time!! Has done it 4-5 times in a matter of 9 months and I don’t drum professionally. I thought it was a fluke the first time and it’s happened more lately … looked up reviews on sweetwater and there’s another review stating the same issue I’m having . Also a few others complaining about the springs breaking. My springs are still in tact but for how long. I emailed Pearl to get a replacement or to even see what the warranty is on these and no response. I would advise you reading this review is look somewhere else …. For the most expensive pedal in the market falling apart constantly , on average of 2 hours of play, I rate this product expensive trash and would have gave it 0 stars but 1 was the minimum. If you were on the fence like I was with buying these let my experience (along with others) make you walk away from said fence.
Also Pearl stop using a 3rd party to ghost your customers !!!
Update….. someone finally contacted me…… not Pearl but a 3rd party distributor I believe …. Pretty much he told me to put the blue locktite on the threads and it should hold…. It’s held for a few months with no issue,so far…. Upping my review to a 2 star from the 1 star I gave….Ive had $79 pedals (from when I started) that didn’t fall apart…. I feel everyone wants to put top dollar prices on products that don’t meet that standard . Quality control should be stepped up. Customers shouldn’t have to put locktite on a product. If a product needs locktite then the manufacturer should have put enough on the said product. I keep finding myself buying “nice” gear that everyone raves about after playing it for only 20 minutes. Only to find out myself after 30 minutes of play it doesn’t live up to the hype. So now lately I’m always skeptical about buying gear.
FYI I’ve seen a few reviews of the springs breaking … still waiting for the day that happens to me. Just a heads up

Creo que es un producto muy sobre valorado, tengo un mes y medio con el, y ya se se la salió un tornillo y ahora se quebró el resorte.
Muy mal producto, lástima que ya terminó la fecha de devolución, si no lo regresaba de inmediato.
P.D. Por eso amo DW, tengo 10 años con mi DW 9000 y nunca he tenido problema alguno.

These pedals are similar to the Trick Bigfoot double pedals I had prior. They feel very smooth and I really like their look and build quality and the carrying case and all that comes with them. The way the pedals footboard get wider at the top is nice. Great pedals for speed playing and double strokes whether you use heel toe or the slide technique.

these pedals are great, decided to get back to drumming and these pedals came out so i decided to give them a try.
i previously had the demon drive pedals and those were my favorite. these unfortunately do not have the same amount of ways you can adjust them. demon drives you can adjust the height of the foot board and the beater angle independently, these you can not.
nonetheless these pedals are absolutely worth it. extremely responsive and super smooth. great for having some heel toe fun. about 4 months in the extreme spring broke and pearl sent me out a pair free of charge, they do come with a normal size spring but it is not the same as the extreme spring.

I guess I’ll leave the first review. After comparing these vs the DW9002 I must say that these are on a whole different category. The DW9002 are amazing pedals and I love them, but if you try these you’ll understand what I mean. The feel, response, craftsmanship and quality of these Demon XR pedals are amazing. These will improve your drumming and get you to the next level. Totally worth the high price tag.
