I have a small pair of guppies that were getting pushed around in my bigger aquarium and wanted to do something for them. I ordered this aquarium and it’s perfect for them with a nice natural plant and stones. They’re doing great now.

This is an attractive aquarium that works well. Not a real problem but the 2 gallon claim has over 1/4 of the space taken up by the filter space. The other problem is that the directions state the filter speed is adjustable. There is no way to adjust the strong out put and input. The output is a strong nozzle that seems to overwhelm Charlie the betta when close. The input tends to grab the fins and the fish struggles to get free sometimes. I was able to solve both problem by drilling a hole though a small cork and plugging the output nozzle, cutting the force in about half. Now Charlie seems to enjoy the current and even uses the filter intake to hold him to rest sometimes.

I had to look up the capacity of this tank, so for reference, it holds 2 gallons of water. We purchased this as an upgrade for our betta, Ringo, who was not thriving in his 1-gallon tank. The filtration thing on this is a bit of a joke, but I guess it is better than nothing. The square opening at the top allows a lot of dust particles, and there is always a sheen on top of the water, even with the filter on. The output current is too strong for our betta, so I turn it off during the day and back on at night. When it is on, he hides between some plants in the bottom of the tank opposite of the output, or lets himself get sucked to the wall by the intake grate so he doesn’t have to fight the current. I tried many things to reduce the flow, including stuffing the output with a sponge and filling the intake area with sponges, but nothing really worked. He seems to do OK with it only on at night though. The light is extraordinarily bright, so we put some electrical tape over half of the LEDs and that made it much more natural. The main reason I purchased this tank (other than price) was because the back part is the perfect place to put a small heater. I wanted a sleek, clean look, so the heater is hidden out of sight but still in the circulating water. I caught this when it was almost half price, so I can’t complain. Overall I’m pleased with the purchase, and so is Ringo.

My cat and I love this little tank, pump is so quiet you cannot here it, top is good, just one access hole, tap the light down so it does not swivel, has 2 filters, just clean one at a time, perfect starter tank, thanks Amazon.ca for a good product, of course the cat is happy watching 3 Tetras

Works great for my Betta. The light is definitely too bright, super easy fix though. I put some blue masking tape over it and it dims the light perfectly for my betta. Without the tape he hides at the bottom of the tank because of the brightness. Tanks works great tho, filter pump has setting on side to adjust flow.

The media could not be loaded.

You will definitely have to turn the filter down to the lowest possible setting at first especially if it’s your betta’s first filtered tank. Once he got used to that setting, we turned it up just one more notch (still below the halfway point) and that seems to be about as much flow as he can handle at least for now. He does really seem to love it though! We’re looking forward to seeing him grow and thrive in here.

Its a perfect fish tank for one fish just not good for bettas.
It has a mirrored effect and my betta thinks its another fish
also the filter is too strong of a current.
but overall its a great little tank.

This thing is terrible. My beta is stressed out because the light is too bright AND the filter is too strong. He hides from it. Additionally, the wide opening is dangerous because the fish can easily jump out, and dust is constantly in the water.

I really like this tank. It looks good, the filter works good and the light is perfect. The filter does adjust so for those that say it’s too strong for their beta, simply turn the filter down and put a plant in front of the water output and then it’s perfect!!
