This small feeder, a brilliant blue, looks good in the garden and it’s super easy to fill with dried meal worms. Plus, it’s easy to clean. The downside? Because of its design, the bottom two inches of feed can’t be reached by the birds. Also, it’s made of very lightweight plastic, so it’s not very sturdy.

Permet de controler le dΓ©bit de sortie donc parfait pour Γ©viter le gaspillage et le renversement. Je l’utilise pour les asticots secs.

We use this feeder for dried mealworms and bluebirds, chickadees, finches, and sparrows all love this feeder!
The only problem we have encountered is that one of the perches broke off and that may have been a squirrel’s doing as they are trying to get to this feeder as well!! I have just purchased 3 more – one as a present, one to replace the broken one and another to have as a backup- just in case!!

Itβs a nice size, seems well made up to now. Havenβt seen birds on it but the bug level is going down so they are eating from it. Not sure if robins fit on it though and they seem to be the biggest mealworm eater in our area.

I have nine bird feeders, different styles thru out my yard. This is the first feeder that I would NOT
recommend or purchase again unless changes are made to the materials used and the overall design. My different birds had no problem getting the mealy worms out of the port, but the drama begins once they leave and other birds try to lite and feed. The plastic perch under the feeding port, flips up when some of the birds fly off from feeding, blocking the ports for the other birds. The material is all plastic, except skinny hanger, so the feeder whips backs and forth when a bird fly’s off and it takes a minute for it to settle down. A needed solution to this feeder, make the bottom half metal including the perches, so they don’t flip up and block the feeding ports when birds leave, this would also help to stabilize the feeder. I was able to run a zip tie under the feeder to connect the two perches so they wouldn’t flip up. I also used a wire to secure the top hook to the pole, to keep it from blowing around. I shouldn’t have to do this, to make this product usable.

Didnβt cost much and now I know why. Will be surprised if it lasts a year

I bought this feeder hoping to draw some bluebirds, but I guess not this year. The other birds love the meal worms, so it’s not a total loss. The feeder is nice – ports are easy for the birds, and I love how the ports fold up and out of the way. (Have to store mine nightly due to bear, deer, and raccoon.) The top also unscrews for filling.

I didnβt realize how many birds eat mealworms!
I put this out just to see what may happen. To my surprise it gets used frequently by chickadees, blue jays, grackles (on occasions) and woodpeckers.
Itβs not something they eat a lot of, like peanuts, and sunflower seeds, but they do use the feeder regularly, and itβs a great addition to your bird feeder offerings.

Cheaply made, but still does the job.

Very Pleased!!!!

This feeder is great. We now have 4 Missouri blue birds and a large number of other birds as well as ladderbacks coming to this feeder. I didn’t know all the birds like dry mealworms, therefore I have to refill it every day. This feeder is very light so I hung it on a very thin tree branch. The branch is so thin, squirrels can’t get to it so they’ve given up. My only complaint, not a valid one, I wish this feeder was twice as big.
