Looks nice. The rope is not white, it is brownish and ‘hairier’, like natural material rope, not the polished kind. I had no problem with the product or the rope used in it – I like it – however, my budgie was scared of it (surprise surprise!), and did not walk on it or peck at it, or engage with it any way. He did look at it confused for a bit, trying to calculate the purpose of such a strange object, nay – contraption – in his cage. After a few days novelty of it wore out, and he did not even look at it much, he just ignored it. After a couple of weeks I took it out of his cage. I did notice he pooped on the ladder, but I am not sure I can count that as a review of the product. Overall, there is nothing wrong with the product, but if you have a timid little bird who will bend over backwards to avoid a piece of banana being offered to him (or her), bringing this ladder into his cage might not be a milestone where he finally realizes that you are not trying to “get him”. I was wondering what would happen if I took out some of the ‘vital’ perches and put the ladder instead.. I might try that. I try to change a set up in his cage often as to avoid him getting bored (although his cage door is open at all times and he could come out any time – he did a few times), so if he would build some courage I think that ladder would be a nice addition to the cage. It will take some work though.. Hope this helps!

This is a really good bridge. My cockatiel, Frank, loves to climb all over it, and there are also many chew marks from him trimming his beak. I love that it is real wood and the rope feels like actual rope (it’s not all plastic-y). The spacing between each wood piece is really nice, too. It’s fun enough to swing on, as Frank shows me, but sturdy enough so that he takes mid-day naps on it, too. However, I do wish it was a bit longer. I was going to put it between the back of the cage and his bowls, but it wouldn’t have any bend to it, and with it being so straightened out, it wouldn’t have any balance and Frank wouldn’t want to step on it. Even so, I put it diagonally on the cage, next to a few other toys of his, and he loves adventuring back and forth along his bridge. Overall, a great product, and I *will* buy again!

My parents bought me this toy as a surprise so, since I use it most, they insisted that I should submit the review!
This toy took some getting used to for me, but I’ve grown to love this ladder swing! I play on it & use it to get around in my cage. The clamps make it impervious to damage & it’s study enough to support my body weight, then some.
Super easy to clean & my papa says it’s a great value for the money! (Whatever that means!)
Anyways, I’m confident that your budgie would absolutely love this addition to the cage!

Okay. I wasn’t expecting this to be so well made but it is. When I took it out of the package I pulled on it really hard to make sure nothing broke and it held up to my pulling on it. I bought two yesterday and I was so impressed I went and bought another two. I like the fact it’s natural and I like the fact that it’s well made. And I also like the fact about the clips on the end that make a lot of sense compared to other companies that use these very hard to open and close clips. Thank you very much for fast delivery as well Amazon .. my bird appreciates it and is happy.

First, before buying this, note that the size is off. The description says 20×3 inches. It is 15×2 1/2 inches. And this includes the strings to hang it by. The “real” length of the bridge is about 12 inches. It looks nice, once you get over the size difference. The hooks that are given are not sufficient to hang the product but a bit of twine from you will remedy this. Then you can re-use the two hooks for something else. The wood in this is hollow in the middle and as soft as dry pine. A medium bird like a gray, or a large bird like a macaw…this would not be a good toy. Too small, too unstable, too soft. For a parakeet, or a small conure, this would be ok. The price is ok.

I actually purchased this for my small rat and this is exactly what I was looking for! He loves to play and run and my goodness was he eager and excited to try it out! He immediately enjoyed running back and forth and leaping off of it onto his hammocks. Needless to say I’m very pleased with this product, not only is it well made and durable, it’s great enrichment for small little creatures too. My only suggestion (if you are using it for perhaps a little critter like myself) would be to twist the 2 pieces of rope individually that the silver clip is attached to, leaving no gaps in the exposed rope for any little toes or heads from accidentally getting stuck. Once you twist the pieces and attach them back onto the clip and then attach it to the cage, you don’t have to worry about it unraveling and your little critter is safer. Aside from that (which I maybe the only person out there who had this issue or concern due to higher energy critters but wanted to pass on just in case!) this is a great ‘toy’ for our loved ones!

Eh, I got item for 2 bucks. It’s great for the price, and it took my bird like 3 weeks to actually get use to it and try out. But oh boy, once they did, they tore it up within a day. Mind you my bird wasn’t even chewing on the wood until they broke the strings first. I’m not sure, if that was intended for, but my birds are a little speical. Their cute though, but yes I would order this product, especially since it’s relatively cheap, you can’t go wrong with natural wood for pet birds. And my bird seems happy playing with it. Keep up the great work.

My hermit crabs love it and it’s the perfect size for their habitat. Easy to install, I slid a suction cup onto each carabiner and ran it between to pieces of wood they like to climb on. Within a day I found two of them up on this little bridge! (See pic). Also I did some research on the types of wood this bridge is made of and none of the wood is harmful to hermit crabs — so this is hermit crab safe!

Love this for the price. Used it in my crabitat and it looks amazing! Metal clasps are easy to remove for humid spaces(to prevent rust), used jute to tie one end to coconut hut and command hooks to secure the other end to the glass. Just what I was looking for.
