Ok so overall I recommend the fryer. I was a little hesitant to buy it from some of the negative reviews but I’m glad I ignored them and went for it. Over the fryer is great. Heats up pretty quickly and its the perfect size for every day use. The size truly is perfect unless you want to fry chicken for a large family but for every day things like fries, plantains, cheese etc works perfect.
Here is why I cant give it a 5 star. The lid broke on the first use. Its so flimsy but you can still use it without it being attached to it. Another thing I didnt like about it is the fact that its not easy to clean. It has no separate removable container so in order to give it a good wash you will risk getting the whole machine wet. So far I haven’t burnt it out from wetting it but I’m still scared one of these days as im washing it that its going to burn out and because you can’t remove the container I feel that its never truly clean and has resedue left over.
I recommend it overall. Worth the price just wish they would fix a few little things so it could truly be the perfect little fryer.

This is a nice little deep fryer. It works well and the temperature control is great. I had a Presto Fry Baby for many years and this was a replacement for that (when It died). The only complaint I have is it doesn’t heat up as much or fry as quickly as the other, but it really is a nice product and I will get many uses out of it.

I thought I did my due diligence to see which country made this deep fryer. The internet said USA. I guess I didn’t dig deep enough as the head office is in the USA and the fryer is made, well…….else where. I tend to boycott products made in that particular country, but oh well, here now. The plug in scared me a little. I’ve never seen a magnetic electric plug in before. I thought the red indicator light was for temperature achieved but not so; it’s for letting you know if the unit comes unplugged. The plug in will take some time getting used to. I wish the inner tub could come out for better washing so that too will take a little getting used to. I do like that it is a small compact unit good for two persons.

I owned this exact appliance in the past. And when I saw it here at Amazon, I knew I had to have it again. It comfortably fries a portion that is easily enough for one person, and possibly enough for two. Cleaning it is not terrible, but it does go through the oil at a quick pace. Change the oil, keep it clean, and this appliance will last you years and years. Lastly, Its diameter is about the size of a smaller dinner plate (think 8” paper plate). Love my deep fried food!

This is my first experience ever deep frying. Normally I don’t like deep fried foods at restaurants but I recently saw some recipes I wanted to try, mainly fish and donuts!
The directions and warnings are rather terrifying. Yet I proceeded, with great caution.
Amazing! I love this little thing!
First we fried a frozen Chinese donut. Never had that before but we got it at an Asisan market and it looked like fun. It was a bit large for the basket but fit in. There was no splattering whatsoever and it cooked ideally in 3 minutes.
We allowed the oil to head without food for another 4 minutes. We had the temp setting at 350 the entire time. I tried to use my thermometer gun and it read 395 but perhaps it was seeing through the oil to the inside walls of the cooker. Not sure.
Next we cooked cod. Cut the cod into 4 inch pieces. Dipped it into egg and then into panko. I was able to fit three pieces of cod in the basket without them touching each other. Upon lowering the excellent basket, there was no splattering. 3 minutes later we checked by looking in and the oil was bubbling a lot and the fish looked golden. Took it out and put it on a towel. It was hot so we had to wait and then MUNCH CRUNCH YUM! Wow!
Perfect. Fun. Not greasy. Delicious.
Now, personally, I do not plan to save my oil. I used Sunflower Oil. I plan to only use this cooker once a month as a fun treat. I let the cooker fully cool down before cleaning it up. Our kitchen did smell like a fish fry shop for an entire day even though we had the vent blowing. But it was worth it.

We have a larger fryer that holds about 5 1/2 times as much oil. It became rather cumbersome for smaller amounts. This unit sits on a countertop and is so convenient. For two people it’s perfect. I’ve used it to cook homemade egg rolls, fried pickles, Onion, straws, and I am very happy with what it does. Clean up is a breeze.
