Have the 16lb version. well built, but the off-gassing gives me terrible headaches. Have had for 2 months and the chemical smell is awful whenever indoors and poorly ventilated areas.

1 – I very rarely review products, but I had to review this one, because of the -few- negative comments, to provide my thought.
I am 175, 5’10”, very active.
I mainly bought it to hike at moderate pace w the dog in the woods and on trails. I do from 1-6 miles w it, feels great, good weight distribution, after a bit you forget its there.
I also use it at the gym for pushups/pullups/and to add general weight/resistance to farmer’s walks, curls, squats, deadlifts.
I tried the 20, it a was a bit on the lighter side, but it fit more snug and was a bit more tailored. The 30 is a great weight, but it comes in a bit bigger size, so not as snug for me, I adjusted the straps to smallest. It is very good for above mentioned workouts.
It slim enough where I can even lie on my back and do bench press.
IN REGARD TO NEGATIVE COMMENTS:
Weighted vests are NOT made for running, for jogging, for tennis, basketball, ballet, or anything like that. I did a lot of research, you are not supposed to do those types of dynamic exercises, you can pull muscles, damage your vertebrae, damage joints, pinch a nerve. They bounce a little and that makes for more risk of injury. The sizing comes for a typical average body, a 30LB vest I would say would fit a 5’10”-6’4″ quite well. But if you are on a very small short side, or are very very husky, or very overweight, or have gigantic breasts, then perhaps you should take that into account and perhaps not get one.
It is silly to run w a weighted vest.
In regards to sturdiness and how it holds up, we shall see, I only used it for 2 weeks. But then again, its heavy, so I don’t throw it around, or smack it hard, after all its made of fabric, material that can rip if you hurl it far and with its weigh of 30LB.

This is for the 12lb vest. It fits very comfortably.
Despite the description saying the material is breathable, it does NOT prevent sweating. My entire torso gets wet, particularly my back which is mostly covered with the vest so fyi on that.
But, for its intended purpose, I think it works great.
The material is very sturdy, as are the buckles. I think this will outlast my need for it – i.e. I should be able to move up in weight before this thing sees any wear and tear.

It’ll do! I really don’t understand why they make these vests unisex! They don’t fit women properly for various reasons! Target sells one for women, though, and it has ZERO smell. Its only an 8 pounder, though.
That said- its not bad. I’ve bought, and returned worse. The smell…not preferable, but tolerable. The fit, is decent.
TIP for women- wear it upside down. It fits better, is more comfortable, and the sides won’t flare out as much causing rubbing on inner arms. You’re welcome. For reference, Im 5’5, 140, size sm/med.

I was so excited to receive this product however, when it arrived the chemical smell was too strong to even use it. I tried airing it out for over a week and that didn’t help. I returned it but had to pay for shipping which was almost $20.00. I’m very disappointed.

This weighted vest lives up to the reviews. It is very comfortable and adds the right amount of weight for cardiovascular workouts (or for any workouts for that matter). My wife and I each bought one (different weights) and are both equally as happy with the product. Great product at a great price!

I bought the 20 pound vest. I use it for walking and lower body exercises. I hurt my wrist so I’m trying not to hold too much weight right now, so wearing the vest lets me add some weights to squats and lunges while keeping my hands free. I’m 5’3″ and 160 pounds, and since I recently had a baby and am nursing, my bust is larger and more sensitive than usual. The straps in the front fit comfortably above and below my bust without putting uncomfortable amounts of pressure. The fit is comfortable for walking, and the way I wear it, it’s not snug enough for running or other dynamic exercises. That doesn’t mean you can’t adjust it for a tighter fit though, I just haven’t tried.

I’ve jumped on the weighted vest for walking bandwagon and love it! I’m a 5 ft 3 in woman (145 lbs) and bought the 12 lb size. This vest is comfortable to wear while walking outside or on a treadmill (well, once you become accustomed to the extra weight) and is easy to take on and off. I do feel that it adds some extra intensity to my walks. In the past, I’ve tried walking with a backpack with extra weight (i.e. Rucking) but the weighted vest is much more comfortable as it fits closer to the body. The front straps are quite long for me, but I was able to fold them over a few times within the loop. The only downside to this type of vest is that you need to replace it with a new one when you want to increase to a higher weight, but I suppose I’ll gift it to a friend when that time comes.

Works as expected. Using on my daily walks to get 10K as a way to stave off osteoporosis (a problem in women of my family). Only critique is that I wish I hadn’t gotten light grey- I can see that it will sweat stain after a while. I felt it was too hot for black. Guess we will see.
It’s comfortable and sits tight when clipped (I am not very busty). Elastic at the bottom helps it sit right. No bounce. My shoulders get a bit sore with a long walk but it is 16# so that’s not unexpected. A good investment.

I am 5’8″, 160lbs and bought the 8lb vest. This weighted vest is a great tool for adding intensity to my walks. It fits comfortably and the weight distribution is good. I definitely feel the burn more when I wear it!
My only complaint is that it starts to chafe under my arms when I wear it with a sleeveless top. I’ve started wearing a thin t-shirt underneath and that seems to solve the problem.
