Ordered this food after useing Royal Canine Shepard brand for a year now , my older Shiloh Shepard started to get fussy , so I researched this type and decide to give it a try , Pork Based , smaller pieces , I wet them with warm water with beef broth, I add wet food also a few Tablespoons , he liked it ate the first cup right away , second cup with a bit of coaxing but he’s a clown , waltzes around , I wasn’t concerned with gradual introducing because he was on Royal Canine for a year now for German Shepard , excellent food , My young Shiloh Shepard eats and thrives on it , healthy fur , put weight on , I like both types 8 plus for my older dog and regular they have special types for all breeds too.

Seems like the quality is great. My 10 year old pitbull is just as energetic as he was at age 2 so the food has to be good. The multiple recent price hikes are horrible though

I am happy with my dog food purchase, and my dog seems to have transitioned to it with no problem. The only issue that I have is that my purchase arrived today, and the bag of dog food had a large hole in the bag. food was all over my amazon box, and I wonder if the product is compromised. I’m considering throwing it away.

I recently found out that my dog has arthritis, so she needs supplements and different food that will help ease her pain and inflammation. She loves this food. She hasn’t had this long enough for me to say that it definitely helped her yet, but she looks forward to feeding time unlike any other food she has had. The kibbles are bigger, but she has no problems eating them. I have heard many good things about this brand, so hopefully this food along with other supplements will help make my dog’s life a little better.

My geriatric Standard Poodle has been on RC Large Breed Senior kibble for years. It has improved her joint health so much, that she gets up better and quicker than when she was younger. I’m a big proponent vitamins and supplements alone are not the way to go, it needs to be in the food. RC delivers. Recommended by lots of vets. I’m an ex-career pet groomer and former salon owner that has seen raw food diets work wonders for older dogs (just one example- quality of life at 20 years old for one dog was astoundingly good) but my budget can’t handle it. RC combined with vet prescribed canned food for gastrointestinal issues has been our go to. My dog is a fuss pot, so requires mixing the kibble but that doesn’t mean quality was lost. Her stools are great, she’s got a decent amount of energy and eats well. She’s 14 now and turning into a little old lady: losing muscle mass and very slowly losing weight even though she eats more now than ever before. Vet cleared her, it’s just aging. Shes moving down to the RC Medium Breed 10+ kibble based on her weight fluctuation. I’m sure it will be just as good.
If you can’t go raw diet, get Royal Canin. It’s still a little pricey compared to other brands but it’s value and quality you are paying for.

We try to periodically change up dog foods because our dogs have always gotten tired of the same food. Our dog loves this dog food and even seems to prefer it over Badlands (which she loves to eat). We will keep buying this. I’m impressed.

My dog has knee issues and would limp for about a year. After I started using this food, the limping subsided and only comes back when we walk too great a distance. 80 lb pit bull loves, and I like the large chunks to help with plaque control. Worth the price.

We have a 12 year old German shepherd mix who had been eating Science Diet for years. The kibble sizes had changed and were too small for him to eat comfortably. Our vet recommended Royal Canin due to it being a quality product and having a larger kibble size. We’ve been using it for about a week now and he loves it! No more getting choked on the small kibbles.
