I had a paper shredder that lasted maybe 5 years so it was time to get a new one. I tried an off brand and it was worked but horribly. So that bad boy went home a few moments after I received it. Desperate to find a decent one, i searched and searched and discovered I the H.P. shredder. I thought I would give it a try. So far it’s a beast. I put it through several tests; running a whole lotta paper thru it. It ate up the paper like a hungry tiger. It jammed up once that’s because I exceeded the max paper that can be put through at one time. It’s a bit on the noisy side but who cares so long as it chews up the paper into little itty bitty tiny pieces like confetti. The basket holds a lot of shredded paper and you can see when it’s time to empty it. It has a nice sliding top so you can not only hide the controls but use it to put stuff on it. It rolls pretty good. It has all of the standard controls. I’ve had it for a few weeks. I’m the type of person that likes to use the phrase, “so far, so good.” At this point in time I would recommend this micro cross cut paper shredder. I hope it lasts a long time.
I used this shredder a whole on 12-4-23. I had tons of old tax paperwork to shred. This printer is still a beast. I worked it so much that it was heating up and stopped shredding. It has overheat built-in protection. But I had shredded for several hours before it was getting hot. Once it cooled down, it was back to work. I had almost 2 kitchen type garbage bags full of shredded papers. Still will recommend this beast.

It works in most cases, but what’s bizarre in the claims that you can destroy your credit cards in it as well, is partially true. What you can’t shred is the Amazon Prime Visa Card if you have an older one around. That card jams this thing up and can actually create a situation where you can’t remove the credit card for several minutes while you hit the reverse switch, and go forward, and go reverse, and go forward, and go reverse… etc. It was weird buying this from Amazon, then not being able to destroy the Amazon Prime Visa Card.

Don’t not buy from Royal !!!
Used literally half a dozen times. Purchased on February 11, 2023 went to use it today and to my surprise, nothing. The paper shredder is plugged in to a known good outlet, the power light Illuminates but the motor doesn’t turn on! What a waste of $200
