This bike came nearly fully assembled. All you have to do is put the handlebars and pedals on and then some accessories if you want or can install them. It was very easy to assemble those parts.

My only gripe is with the seat all the way down, you can’t install the rear LED or the mud flap because there is no room.

The bike rides really well straight out of the box and my son loved it. I like the rear brake setup, I’ve never seen an internal brake like that before. Usually it’s an exposed disc or visible pads on the rim but this has a brake drum hub type assembly.

When it’s time to pickup the next size up, I would highly consider this brand.

Bought two bikes for the grandchildren. They both loved them. The bikes took minimal assembly.

Sleek looking BMX like style. Arrived in brand new condition and is a bit bigger than what my 7yr old can handle but he is constantly attempting to master it not to mention the growing room he’ll have for it. Pedals are easy to reach and has a bit of weight to it but it’s too much of a problem, just noticeable. The wheel guards are a plus and block a lot of mud from riding up his back as he treads through mud puddles. Make sure you have a bike pump whereas it had no air in the tires. Maybe it’s a shipping issue but other than that, I’ll buy a smaller bike for his up and coming sister in 6months.

It’s a solid little bike. The instructions for assembly were fairly easy except for staring at the “bell” for ten minutes thinking “what the heck is that?” My only complaint, or rather my son’s only complaint, is that the seat just isn’t comfortable. It’s pretty hard. Ordering a gel covering to hopefully help with that and that’s why the lost star. Don’t make me buy something else. Otherwise, solid purchase.

Overall the bike is a good solid bike, I have 3 main issues, and they are minor.
First, no backpedal braking, i personally like having that available for young riders.
Second, the front axle size is too small for standard pegs. I had to order a special set to fit, my kid doesn’t do tricks yet, but likes to look like he can.
Lastly, it says royal baby all over. I know it’s the brand, but this bike will take him to the age where “baby” is going to get some comments. It’s fixable, but not quite right for the intended age.

Awesome bike. There are so many features demonstrating how the design team focused on functionality instead of borrowing the cheapest design like so many companies do. For starters, it comes mostly preassembled. The company already has the major parts put together and took the time to get them straight and properly tightened. You simply pull the bike out of the box, align the handlebars, and insert them into the stem. The brake levers and cables are already installed and adjusted. Then drop in the seat stem. Screw on the pedals, attach the fenders and reflectors, and it’s done. The frame is lighter than a BMX bike. The rear wheel has an enclosed disc brake which stops faster. The chain guard is more compact than most to reduce the chance of breaking. The rear fender is mounted to the seat stem so it simply pushes aside rather than breaking if it is accidentally kicked. The kickstand is an unusual design which keeps it out of the way on the back axle. It has a spring lock to keep it engaged until intentionally raised. The company even took the trouble to weld on the base for installing a rear cargo basket. The only oversight is the rear reflector. It is the same type that is mounted on the seat stem of an adult bike, but on a kids bike like this, it isn’t visible enough to be safe. But my kid shouldn’t be riding in the dark, so it’s good enough for us. Not only is it obviously designed with ergonomics and performance in mind, but the high quality components are evident.

We’ve ordered two Royalbaby bikes for my kids in the past and they are really great quality. Solid, tires are thick and really well made. My kids put their bikes through the wringer, and they have held up great. We ordered a new bike for my daughter because she sized up – when we received the new bike, the bearing was broken on the back wheel causing the wheel to shake and the chain to come off. I contacted support and they sent me a replacement tire that I received 3 days later. Unfortunately, the tire wasn’t the correct model
for the bike, so I reached out again and they replaced the entire bike. The process was so smooth and easy and Akash was amazing. Super kind and professional. While it is a bummer the bike was broken, they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and my girl got her new bike. I will forever be a Royalbaby customer!
