I just moved into an apartment complex with these installed. Dries fine. Runs fine. I wouldn’t know about efficiency, but what gives it zero stars is a STUPID 30-second chime at finishing that you can’t turn OFF! Running this near bedtime is out of the question, and I am seriously debating whether I want to risk breaking something unintentionally by going on a hand-tool hunt for this thing’s speaker–to break that INTENTIONALLY. If you value your sanity, do not buy this–or at least make sure your laundry room is well separate from your living space. Like, the opposite side of a 4 bedroom house, separate.

I was told by customer service there is no way to turn off any of the sounds or the song that plays at the end of a cycle. If you don’t want to wake up your household when doing a load at night then stay away.

Annoying chime at end of cycle that is very loud and goes on and on.. , clothes and towels only dry well on the timed dry mode, but the worst- the lint filter! The lint filter is plastic and it gets so gluey and nasty, I have to take a toothbrush I bought specifically for this dryer and clean it off. I’ve checked the dryer vent, ran a “test” on the dryer, etc and it’s simply the filter! My last Kenmore had a metal filter and I never once had a problem.

Not an Amazon purchase but bought this in less than six months ago…started overheating and shutting off.. after 3 service caps and a professional vent cleaning we’re told it’s our house not their product and there’s nothing they can/will do about it.. so now we’re stuck with a fire hazard and a worthless warranty. You’ve been warned! Do NOT make the same expensive mistake we did…you’ll regret it!

The INSIDE of this dryer is BLACK and there is NO LIGHT. The machine works well but you truly need a flashlight to see inside the drum. Terrible design. Think twice before you order one. This is a critical design flaw and Samsung should be ashamed.
