We went away for 10 days. We put them in a day before we left. The blocks swelled with water so we thought we had a good product. When we returned the blocks were as we left them . We were short 4 guppies so that’s what the other fish ate. Maybe this product is for bottom feeders. The snails thought it was great.

Well, shipment is good. But given it comes with 4, I was expecting it is in good condition, which means, no dent of the package. Given the package comes with others in the same box and a lot of free space, still one of the items is dented. Overall, it is acceptable.

bought these for my fish, to keep them fed while i was away. Put 3 of these in my 60 gallon tank. The description says 2 week feeder. After three weeks, i expected them to be all but gone. Two of them were little more than 1/4 eaten, the third barely touched. i Have 11 goldfish. decent sized, and hardly picky eaters. all 3 had decent amounts of mold growing on them. Luckily, my fish were okay. Had they been less hardy fish, they would have been lost. I’m tempted to give this product only one star, but my fish did eat some of it. Personally I would not use this product again. Would advise anyone who asked, to stay clear and find something else.

Our 35 gallon aquarium has about 7 teeny bottom feeders, one cory and 3 goldfish. We were going on vacation for a week and I stumbled on this vacation fish food while searching. I decided to try something different & ordered.
Before we left, I dropped one pod in the tank, food side down, along with a standard white vacation feeder that I usually use. The pod floated.
When we returned the aluminum pod was at the bottom of the tank with a gel like substance in it. I left it in the aquarium for another week before the fish finally cleaned it out. Side note, they chowed down the white vacation food. I don’t know if that’s because they’re used to it or because it tastes better, but if I had to guess, the fish really didn’t seem to care for this feeder.
Then there was retrieving the empty pod. It’s very lightweight, so any disturbance to the tank moves the tray, so I had to do some “fishing” to get it out.
The 14 day feeder served it’s purpose, so there’s that, but I’m not a fan of the empty tray that needs to be removed. I wouldn’t buy these again unless it was the only vacation feeder available.

I should say only long lasting one my fish liked. Those big white ones may last as long or longer, but my fish didn’t like them. It eats these up. This was used for one bottom feeder.

I have a 50 gallon community tank, and these seem to work well and do not cloud the water. My only gripe is the packaging. When they were delivered, they were dented and bashed in, which makes the stuff more difficult to drop into the tank in a single piece. Perhaps there can be a better way to ensure these get to the customer without damage…

I love these a lot! But it’s VERY messy and made my tank smell for weeks despite the water changes :/
