This is a good sport watch. I wear these to work in all sorts of conditions…and they take a beating. I have to get the unisex watches/bands as I have thick wrists for a woman and women’s watchbands generally don’t fit me. I can’t wear the metal watch bands because when I flex my wrist they break. I can’t wear the leather bands because when I sweat the band just deteriorates and falls apart. These woven bands are just perfect. I also like that it is velcro. That way you can adjust it perfectly to your wrist. I have worn these watches for nearly 15 years. It has two time functions – so that you can have regular time and maybe the time in another country. It has a split lap stop watch so that you can time each lap as well as your full run. Time, date, alarm, and hour beep if you so desire. It also has a back light which is really handy to tell time in the dark. Only problem with that is at about the year mark, the battery is so low that the light will come on, but the numbers disappear. But, well, it is what it is.
Some reviewers have complained that the band is rather small fitting around the wrist. I am a woman and I bought a womans Timex once. The band was EXTREMELY small and barely fit me at all. It would come off a lot of the time because there was barely any velcro to wrap around. This watch is probably more of a unisex watch. Not a woman’s per se, but not a big man’s watch either. It is about in the middle. I have a 7.5″ wrist and that is about as large of a wrist that this watch will fit. The women’s watch that I had previously had would only fit a 7″ wrist.

Love this watch! The strap is way more adjustable than the usual buckles, it has no unnecessary features, can withstand swims and showers, lights up with the press of a button (won’t even disturb a dark theater), easy to program and read, and also brightly colored! I got the red one for myself and I plan to get the blue one for my little brother since it is super adaptable to fit most wrists. It may not be the fanciest, but I would never wear any other watch. The velcro does eventually wear out, but I’ve extended the lifespan by dragging a scissor blade across the stiffer part and that seems to work. Battery never has run out and it’s been a few years. Thing has taken quite a beating too (drops, bumps, throws courtesy of a ten year old brother, etc.) and all that ever did to it was a tiny scrape on the plastic, when it put a noticeable hole in the wall. The watch is bulletproof durable (but seriously don’t actually shoot at it) 100% a great buy and will buy again as long as it sells, especially at the low price for the quality you get. Also, my pictures are of my watch at a year and a half old, so it is not brand new but has been worn every day for about 500 days. Give or take a few. And it still works like new!

Tried changing the battery once and it didn’t go successfully but I swap out the 16mm band for a blacked out adjustable one and its the smallest most reliable watch I’ve had. I tried out similar sized watches for cheaper and was displeased. Just got my 3rd and it rarely leaves my wrist endures pool, ocean, rock climbing etc. rock climbing can take a toll on it as i bash/scrape the wall with it byeah anyway find an aftermarket watch band you like cuz im personally not a fan of the one it comes with

In a sentence, this is an excellent watch which clearly would have earned five stars if it wasn’t for the wristband. Let me comment on some selected features. I cannot evaluate durability since I bought it only a short time ago.
Size. If you are male, if you dislike clunky things, and if your wrists are small, then you should seriously consider this watch. For me, all three conditions apply, and I think I made a good deal. I checked again, this watch is indeed advertised as a watch for children and ladies on the Timex website. However, I think the design is definitely unisex, the blue tone being even on the male side.
Wristband. The band is somewhat uncomfortable. It is narrow. It has a plastic buckle which is too dominant. Apparently, ladies and children are made to suffer. The band could be longer. For those having thicker wrists: check twice as the band may not reach around your wrist. This disadvantage turns out to be an advantage when you want to fasten the watch on your belt or backpack.
Price. The price is attractive, even more so as I am a Euro-based person. I bought my last Timex digital watch in 1993 at an absolute price comparable to this one. Considering the fact that the dollar has decreased much in value during the last 17 years, Timex watches have become way cheaper ever since.
User Interface. Clearly, there has been improvement since 1993. Being able to set the watch on the first day without consulting the user manual leaves a good impression – those small icons for plus, minus, etc. appearing next to the buttons are wonderful.
UPDATE JANUARY 2016: I added photos of the watch after a couple of years of on and off use. The display is off, not broken – the watch needs a fresh battery. I did not buy any other watches since 2010; I still like the present watch. However I found that I don’t need a watch since I carry the phone anyway. Again, the wristband is likely to be the first thing falling apart.

Easy to use. My 10 year old loves it, and it looks good. Timex does good kids watches. I don’t know why other brands don’t offer much of a selection.

Chegou conforme prazo e descrição. Utilizo em trilhas por ser leve, não enrosca em nada devido ao tamanho. Pode pegar uma chuva ou molhar desde que não fique muito tempo submerso. Pulseira de nylon com velcro, super pratico. E não é emborrachada (um dia acaba rachando ) ou metal ( pesado ). Funções básicas de datas e alarmes. As letras no mostrador ficam acesas ao toque do botão frontal.

This is a great little watch. It’s legible, light on the wrist, and understated in design. It features everything I look for in a digital watch: water resistance to at least 100M, three customizable alarms that are loud enough to be practical, countdown timer, dual time zones, stopwatch, 12 and 24-hour modes, Indiglo, and non-proprietary lugs. It is 33mm in diameter and has a thin profile; both things I see as a plusses. As a pro tip — this watch pairs well with the Barton Watch Bands Elite Silicone strap designed for the 16mm lug width common to the much lauded, but less functional, Casio G-Shock family of watches.
