It should get a zero star rating. I purchased the Turtle Wax leather cleaner kit in hopes it would remove the blue jean dye from the beige vinyl upholstery of my car seat. Even though it doesn’t say not for use on vinyl, I was hoping this would work. It did not work at all, not one iota of dye was removed. Don’t waste your money if you expect it to work on vinyl.

I have a cream colored recliner that became stained by blue jeans. Found a youtube video recommending this product. It’s probably great for general cleaning and conditioning, but it will not take blue denim stains out of light colored leather. I’ll give it a try on the black seats in my car.

I used the Turtle Wax Deep Cleaning Interior Kit on my light tan leather drivers seat in my 2014 BMW that had 5 years of denim dye build up from my jeans. I had tried many other leather cleaners and conditioners and nothing worked. The cleaner along with the included magic eraser applicators removed all of the denim stains and made my seats look new again. Per the instructions, I used the cleaner liberally and made light/med pressure circular motions with the applicators and then wiped it off with a microfiber cloth. I did have to go over each section two to three times in the bad areas to get it all off, but it did all come clean. I’m so happy to have found this product!

OMG! I truly wish I had taken multiple pictures of the befores and afters in this case, because I was truly IMPRESSED! I will be totally honest here, I did not have much hope left for the driver’s seat on my car, which is covered in beige leather. I wear a BLUE uniform every single work day (blue top and blue pants) and have been doing so for the 6.5 years that I have owned my car. The driver’s seat was stained in a mild blue tone as a result. So stubborn, that I had used multiple products (Lexol, Meguiar’s, etc.) with a ton of elbow grease without any considerable good results. I was already looking for OEM options to change the leather itself for a brand new one. That is how bad it was.
Well, I decided to do some research on the net, and came upon this product. With nothing to lose, I went for it. Product comes in a medium sized bottle with two square sponges. The sponges look and feel like Mr. Clean sponges; however, the Mr. Clean sponges are way softer when compared to the “denser” Turtle Wax “stain eraser” sponges. The liquid is a white gel, tending more to the liquid side, with a nice smell to it. Again, I WISH I had taken a picture of my seat before I started…I’m so upset right now. Well, here it is my experience:
I followed the instructions and shook the bottle vigorously to make sure all the ingredients were properly mixed. I poured some gel directly to the seat, as per the instructions, because they were heavily stained, then I used the sponge to spread it out and absorb it. I covered one section of the seat to try it out, rubbing in circular motions with not too much elbow grease…MY GOODNESS was I impressed. Immediately, and I am not exaggerating here, the sponge went from white to blue, and I could see the difference in the seat! I took a clean microfiber cloth and wiped the area I had worked on, and it came out with huge BLUE streaks all over! The area was NOTICEABLY clearer than the rest of the seat. I knew then I had a winner in this product.
With 6.5 years of stain in it, the seat obviously did not go from almost blue to original color in one treatment. Through 2 days I went at it with both sponges, cleaning them in between sessions (bringing them back to their original white color), and going at it again. After 3 to 4 sessions of around 30 minutes each, my seat is essentially BACK TO NORMAL COLOR! I have a few areas with SMALL residues, barely noticeable anymore, but which I KNOW will come out as soon as I work on them. This is INCREDIBLE people. This product works! No joke. I am SO happy I found this that I am buying another bottle ASAP. I do not know how people can give this product one star, maybe they have some nuclear waste stains on their seats, but for what this product claims to clean on its package, it WORKED WONDERFULLY for me! The blue from my uniforms is GONE, after one more treatment I know I will have a basically brand new seat again, it almost is at that level right now. And it also worked great to remove scuff marks on the plastic trimming on the door frame. This product is simply amazing and I highly recommend it!

I wear denim jeans a lot, something I didn’t take into consideration when I purchased my a car with light leather seats, and this product removed all traces of denim. Prior to ordering this product, I had my car professionally and thoroughly detailed ($130). The detailed advised me that denim is impossible to remove and that eventually, my seats would turn grey in the area of the denim traces from continuous cleaning. TOTALLY NOT TRUE! This stuff saved the day!!!
Other info: Car was only 7 months old when professionally detailed but the denim really stuck to the seats. I detailed the car with this product at the 10 month mark and got it all out.

This stuff is amazing. I got a new car in June this year and didn’t realize the dye from my dark jeans would transfer. I took care of it before it got really bad. It didn’t take any longer than 15 minutes to clean the whole seat. My seat is back to new and I’m thrilled. Highly recommend. The pictures I posted is a before and after. The picture with the sun a lot brighter on the seat is before. Sort of hard to see but sooo much better after.
Update 7/8/2020 I used this to clean all the leather in my car and it was great! I noticed little finger prints here and there and marks from people’s skin. This got it all off and my leather looks beautiful. I highly recommend it.

This stuff is amazing! I’ve tried removing the jean ink stains from my beige leather seats in my SUV with so many different cleaners. The result with the other leather cleaners was that some of the ink stain would come off but it would not come off entirely. This product works differently in that it lifts the jean ink from the leather. You really don’t need to scrub hard with the stain eraser, just apply the cleaning lotion onto the leather and use the stain eraser in a circular motion to gently remove the stain. I’ll be ordering a couple of these so that I don’t run out. I took the before picture in the garage and for the after picture I drove the car out of the garage so I could see better to remove the stain.
