Chemical Guys Foaming Citrus Fabric Clean CWS20316

The Chemical Guys CWS20316 Foaming Citrus Fabric Clean is a versatile cleaner designed for car carpets, seats, and floor mats, and it is also safe for home and office use. It comes in a 16 fl oz bottle with a refreshing citrus scent.
Using the cleaner is straightforward. Spray it onto the fabric, agitate with a brush, and wipe away the residue. The foaming action helps to see where the product has been applied, ensuring even coverage. It dries relatively quickly, minimizing downtime.

What I did not love:
– Size: The 16 fl oz bottle can be consumed quickly if used frequently in large areas.
– Price: Slightly more expensive compared to some other fabric cleaners.

Great product to clean fabric interiors of your vehicle, leave a nice odor and definitely remove most of stains.

Cream colored car seats were a mess. Not sure what had been spilled, but it was hideous, and it had been accumulated over a few years of a young driver’s piggish habits (food, sweat, wet beach towels, coffee). I started with 20:1 solution per the directions, sprayed, scrubbed vigorously with a synthetic brush, and wet vacuumed (big shop vac). Not much foaming from the scrubbing, and aw some improvement in some areas but not great. Added more chemical to the same bottle and increased to about 5:1, sprayed and scrubbed (definitely white foam now) and wet vacuumed over and over until the 750ml spray bottle was about empty. Switched to pure water spray, and SOAKED the fabric right next to the vacuum nozzle, and EUREKA the stains were lifting up. I had to repeat several cycles with water and wet vacuum because each cycle I was only getting the surface layers and the stains kept bleeding up the surface after waiting several minutes. Required more than two hours of effort for four car seats, but I can tell you assuredly I wouldn’t be embarrassed to bring a guest into the car now as the seats are much improved. I wore latex gloves throughout (I am a chemical engineer, seriously don’t touch this stuff). At the end, I used a portable heater to dry the interior with one window about 1/2” open. You could probably just park the car in the sunshine and get the same drying.

I bought a 3 year old Toy RAV4 that was deodorized with a powder. After 5 years, I started to notice this sour milk like smell in different spots in RAV4 – rear rug, front passenger rug, and driver seat back. I followed the instructions for applying the “Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner” including using a soft brush to work it in. This was followed by using the upholstery feature on the Hoover rug cleaner. The entire RAV-ie is super clean.

I got this to clean the floor liners for my daughter’s car. The carpet in the car is light beige and it got very dirty and muddy when we had some heavy rain and the car was parked on an unpaved lot. The floor liners looked almost black when she came home.

I used this cleaner and a scrub brush to really dig into the carpet and get the heavy stuff clean after I rinsed the heavier stuff with hot water in our kitchen sink. I used our carpet machine with hot water to suck out the dirt and soap. That worked a lot better than scrubbing and wiping off the suds and debris. Having a carpet cleaner to use with this does a better job of getting the floor liners clean and getting out the dirty suds.

We used this on some pet stains on our carpet inside the house as well. I used this and agitated the stain gently, then used the carpet cleaner to pull out the stain and suds.

I’ve been happy with Chemical Guys products for car care and this is another good item. It’s also concentrated, so you can dilute according to your needs. It really goes a long way, so you don’t have to mix it with a strong concentration unless you have a really stubborn stain.
