Steve –
I ordered this as a present, so I’ve only worn it to get a feel for its comfort and utility. It’s definitely a tactical-type backpack, speaking as a former member of an Army cavalry unit. More detail and places for gadgets than what I’m used to, but that’s a good thing. Nice size and weight as well as strength in the “polyester oxford” outer fabric. The lining on the inside compartments seems as though it could be the only “non-tactical” aspect of the design. Time will tell if it holds up to the usual wear and tear of serious hiking and traveling. I’ll update my review if the recipient of this backpack provides any negative feedback. Otherwise, I think it’s a good deal — and certainly competitive with similar-type backpacks — especially at the current price, which is around $35.
I oredered the khaki, as seen in photos.

I was impressed by the number of pockets in this backpack. It is durable and very well-made. It also has ample padding and a separate compartment for a laptop. The backpack is not very light, but its weight should not be an issue for most people. This backpack is truly multipurpose.

The primary features of the bag are good looking and so far appear to be very well constructed. Some of the interior liner/divider fabric is not what you’d call military grade, but still pretty good. At this price that’s acceptable to me, and even if those do not hold up as well as the overall pack it will not greatly affect how I load or use it.
I’m still experimenting with the load out possibilities for this bag and I’ve found it possible to make it work with my hydration bladder rig on the front. This might be my new ready pack for volunteer duties including triage and first aid which sometimes takes me into the woods.
I have a similar sized tactical pack that is well made but of a different style and design and I favor this new one for simple differences and versatility. Excellent value for price.

It’s hard to tell how big 45L is – it’s bigger than I expected – I shoved 2-3 days worth of dirty clothes and put my 18 oz water bottle in it so you’ll have some idea of the scope. It’s big and high quality – looks like it came from the army/navy store. There’s a pocket for your water bottle – would hold up to 24 oz water bottle I think There’s a pocket for your laptop – probably fits standard laptops and it’s the perfect size for carry-on to fit under and airplane seat but still get a weekends worth of clothes in here. Great for 3 days weekends. As I get older, I don’t like to carry school boy packpacks – “you’re too old for a backpack” my friends say but nobody is too old for a serviceman’s army backpack like this one – it’s timeless/ageless and this is a high quality item – I thought it might be overpriced until I received it and saw how big it is. 45L is big and it expands so definitely a carry-on size backpack that can hold a lot of clothes! Material is heavyweight and quality – really nice item – highly recommend this backpack – looks/feel like army issue!

This is a light but sturdy backpack with the typical large pocket and smaller side pockets. There is also an additional piece of fabric that covers nearly the entire back of the pack and has Velcro and molle (the little pieces of strap) features.
This backpack is good at distributing weight and has many compartments and straps for various uses. It is appropriate to wear to school or work, but also fine for light camping. You can put a small tent and sleeping bag on it and still have room for everything needed inside the pockets.
I’m using this for hiking and camping and so far it is holding up very well. I’ve put it in the wash machine twice and it came out perfectly clean and in tact.

It’s a nice backpack, and the price was right, but the front flap doesn’t open. I couldn’t tell that from the photo. Just kind of annoying that you have to put items in through the side.

I don’t know where they got “45L” capacity from. Maybe measuring the outer kangaroo pouch? I just got a 45L pack, for just a little more than this one is selling for, and it blew it away, in all departments. It also seems to have twice as much room in it, with the same exact capacity listed. Something isn’t right.
It’s not TOO bad, for the price, but not too good, either. I KINDA like the little marsupual pouch thing they’ve got going on, but they don’t give you much slack for the paracord drawstring.
I got The Lady of the house another tactical pack for emergency gear and supplies, but she started taking it to work. So, I wanted to get something she could keep at home, with her survival stuff. Had gotten her a gas mask, and figired the marsupual pouch would be good for that. It does hold it pretty well, but not fun to get in and out through the drawstring. Comes with a hip belt, which is uncommon for this size. But rather than bearing the weight, as small as this pack is, I think the hip belt is mostly just for keeping it tight to your body and not moving around so much. Which is cool and all, but…
Straps and zippers and webbing, and mesh pockets are okay for the price, but nothing to write home about. This thing needs a little improvement, and would be nice if they listed the actual capacity. Or, made it bigger.
Could be a halfway decent daypack, if this is your budget range, but there are better options out there, for just a few bucks more.
I’d look further, if you can afford to.
