There was an update recently so you can add more pictures as screensavers and such. Just the best tuner pedal, if you gig outdoors you know it’s hard to see the tuner, but not with this bad boi. I paired it with the DI box for my acoustic set up. Simple and clean

EDIT: Walrus Audio reached out to me directly with a sincere valid explanation. Both by email and a phone call! That’s some great customer service. Long story short: It was never actually made with the power thru, there was a miscommunication with the listing stating “Onboard power pass-through jack for powering other effects” and showing a picture of the original prototype – which is not the case. They are working on updating it now. Aside from my initial frustration, this pedal is fantastic if you’re looking for outstanding display (with a cool photo upload feature to load your own set lists, cat pics, etc.) accuracy, and wide adjustable Hz range, and just some super cool style overall pedalboard bling! Giving it 5 stars now.
Bought this because I felt it necessary to exhibit a cute photo of my poor old sick and dying cat on my pedalboard, but more importantly, because it has an adjustable Hertz range & allegedly offers “Onboard power pass-through jack for powering other effects” (even shows detailed photos of said jack) yet the one I just received has no such jack…

This tuner is great when it works. Super accurate, fast, responsive, and fun to customize.
The problem is that it sometimes decides that it simply doesn’t want to work. The entire unit freezes up and doesn’t register anything. I replaced my power source, unplugged and replugged, restarted, tried an exorcism and nothing works to bring it back. It just restarts when it’s ready. In a touring environment it’s a cool gadget to have except for when it becomes a paperweight unpredictably.

Tuner is extremely accurate and switches from string to string in an instant.
This is the talking piece of my pedalboard.
It’s fun to find crazy pictures to add to it and get a laugh from my Worship team and band mates 😀

Really good product and lives up to all of the hype and reviews on YouTube, etc… The only negative (and why I didn’t give it 5 stars) is because it doesn’t come with a power supply. So after the excitement of getting it and wanting to use it right away… I was disappointed that I had to then make a trip to my “local” Guitar Center (which for me is about 40 minutes away) to buy a power supply to make it work. I’ve never purchased any type of “pedal” before, so maybe this is the norm? But I wish it was spelled out a little better in the description.

This tuner is, by far, the most accurate and easy to use tuner I’ve ever had. I currently use it on my 67-string electric zither with great success. The zither requires a tuner that is quick to respond and has a 0.1 cent accuracy, otherwise, tuning the instrument would take forever. This tuner responds very quickly and it doesn’t display that the note is in-tune until it ACTUALLY is in tune.
Positives:
– you can calibrate the pedal to display when the note is in-tune by its accuracy. The default is 0.3 cent which means that when a note reaches 0.3 cent range sharp or flat, then the pedal will display that the note is in-tune. You can calibrate the accuracy to 0.1 cent which means that the pedal has a tighter tolerance before it says that the note is in-tune. The lower accuracy means faster tuning giving the user the ability to quick tune the note within range and tune it the rest of the way by ear. The higher accuracy means slightly longer tuning time but will be more accurate.
– the tuning gauge needle stays on more consistently and not very jumpy. While the initial attack tends to bump the needle slightly sharp, the pedal compensates for that and displays the needle in a more stable manner.
– the LCD screen is great. I love that you can rotate the display however you want so that the screen will always stay upright regardless of how you position your pedal. I always find that in order to cram as many pedals on the board as possible, I ended up having to compromise and turn the tuner side ways. This means that I always had to read the note side ways when I tune. Not with this pedal. I had to place it sideways on the board but I could rotate the display so that it reads upright. Moreover, if you find that the letters amd needle display on the vertical format is too small to see, you can rotate the display to horizontal and all the information is bigger.
– the pedal has no tonal coloration even when using as an always-on pedal.
– you can set the pedal to be always-on or mute-bypass. For example, I like the tuner to be always-on when i play slide guitar so that I know that the notes that I play with the slide is always in tune. When I play guitar, I like having the tuner be my mute switch. The pedal provides both options with a simple menu selection.
Negatives:
– I find that when I unplug the input of the pedal when it’s powered up and plugging back in, the pedal doesn’t always let the signal pass through. I had to make sure everything is plugged in before powering up the pedal in order for the pedal to recognize the input signal.
– The pedal has a hard time with notes above A 880hz range. On the electric zither, i have an open string that is A 880hz and the tuner doesn’t always want to register that note. I would also guess that notes that are higher than 880hz will not work well with this tuner.
– The pedal can not be battery powered. I get that this pedal probably has a higher powe consumption and would just drain a 9v battery within minutes. However, I would love to see a battery-powered version of this pedal that can also be USB rechargeable. This would make the pedal all the more versatile and I believe that every pedal should be USB rechargeable instead of wasting on 9v batteries.
