I ordered this primarily to heat water for pour over coffee. The first one that arrived was cracked across the bottom of the kettle. It would still hold water, but it would not lie flat on the base, so it would not heat up. I reported the damage and received a replacement a few days later. The kettle is easy to use, heats water to boiling quickly, and automatically turns off when the water boils. One feature I really like is that the kettle itself does not have a cord. The kettle sits on top of a base, and the cord wraps up inside the base with a simple twist of the spool on the bottom. Neither the kettle nor the base heats up (other than getting a little warm) so you won’t inadvertently get burned on the base. This is an attractive and efficient water kettle.

I really enjoy having a cup of tea at work, but dislike having to microwave my mug of water to do so. This kettle is a great size for me to have at the office, and is so easy to use! I was surprised at the quality of this kettle, and how quickly it heats the water – it functions exactly as it should. I also have peace of mind that it won’t stay on and be a hazard if I get distracted and forget to turn it off. It cleans easily and I can put it away with no problem. It’s really a good value!

Pros:
—The kettle is very attractive and it looks great on the counter – much nicer than any of our previous kettles. The color of the black model, the matte surface, and the design of the kettle are all very nice-looking.
—It heats rapidly.
—It heats with less noise than any of our previous kettles. We’ve owned five or six over the years as we use an electric kettle four or five times every day.
—Every surface that touches water is made out of gleaming stainless steel (even the inside of the spout and the underside of the lid).
—The cord retracts into the base. This will make it easier to transport when we are traveling.
Cons:
—This is a minor issue: closing the lid takes two hands. To open the lid, you press the small button on the top of the handle and then lift the lid open. Closing the lid requires pressing the button and then shutting the lid.
Suggestion for the manufacturer:
—This also isn’t a big deal but the kettle would be more functional for left-handed people if you showed the “Max Fill” line on both sides of the inside of the pot. As it is, I need to hold the kettle in my right hand in order to see the Max Fill line since there is no marking on the opposite inside of the pot.
Overall, this is an excellent kettle and I definitely recommend it!

This kettle is quality-built and works well. It is not flimsy, rather it is very sturdy. Partly because of the stainless steel interior and partly due to the thick matte plastic finish on the outside. The heating elements are enclosed in the base of the kettle, and the kettle sits on a power base that has a retractable cord. I love how I can retract the cord when not using and it’s not dangling all over the counter. I suspect this kettle is an update on a previous model as the instruction manual describes cleaning the interior by covering the elements with water and baking soda-there are no elements to cover! There is a button to open the lid to fill the kettle and then you have to manually push the lid down to close; the first couple of uses the lid was a bit stiff but now it shuts easily. The kettle shuts itself off when the water is boiling, however, you can manually shut the kettle off whenever the water is the temp you want. In my opinion, this kettle is an excellent value for the money.

This is a solid choice for a kettle. It holds a teapot’s worth of water, which comes to a boil pretty quickly. It has an auto shut-off feature once it has fully heated. The handle is very comfortable. The pop-up lid is handy. The cord for the base is a good length. The style is sleek. It’s super easy to use: pop the lid, fill with water, close the lid, put onto the base, push the lever below the handle. For the price, I wish it had at least couple of temperature options, rather than just a full boil (hence the removal of a star from my review). While this is an all-around well-made kettle, it’s about $15 more than I’d say it should be, since there are no special features compared to other electric kettles.

Sadly, the product was delivered damaged. Packaging doesn’t appear to be the damaged so, I assume it was damaged prior to shipping. The instructions specifies that you shouldn’t use if damage is detected.
The product looks attractive and I wish I was able to try it out but until I get it replaced, this is going in the trash.

It’s not called a teapot but that’s what I use it for. It has an electric base that you can easily take your double-lined pot off of. It heats your water extremely fast and has automatic shut off.
