Aigostar Small Electric Kettle, 1L Portable Boiler Description

  • 【BPA-free】Still squeamish around the plastic kettle? We know that! So the BPA-free and Food Grade plastic is your healthy choice on the budget! The plastics that have been shown to cause cancer are used to make clear, hard containers or soft, flexible products. But, our kettles DO NOT fit into either of these categories
  • 【Compact】Electric water kettle with 1.0-liter capacity suitable for 1-3 persons, wide-bottom design compared to its compact size for fast boiling (110V ~60Hz)
  • 【Simple】The 120°broad opening lid folds out of the way for the easy filling. Easy to storage with cord wrap for compact space. Turn the kettle on and forget it with the automatic shutoff function. All of these are to serve your simpler life and save time for thinking big
  • 【Safety】We always consider your safety as first. The handle leaves enough room to keep your hand away from body for your burn-resistant use! And the boil-dry protection can avoid the risk of incorrect utilization. The removable filter design in the spout is a very nice way to combat the very hard water which will leave large amount of limescale
  • 【Clean & Furthermore】Mix 3 tbsp of vinegar or lemon with water, and leave 5-8 hours after boiling or overnight to clean those deposits or “rust” Away. If you have any questions about our products, you can always get in touch with us and we will be happy to help

I needed small tea kettle for upstairs to make my coffee while i get ready in the morning. This was perfect. Its small enough but also hold enough for anything. The only thing I wish was different is for the complete inside to be stainless, not just the bottom part. I would love to see this improvement and I would purchase it again for that.
Auto-Shut off is the best so I dont worry that anything overheats or keeps boiling until its dry. Its super fast to boiling and I can pull it before its boiling if i just want some warm water quickly.

*Hey Ladies, this is great when you want warm-hot water in your foot soaker!
I like it and would recommend but i still would like to see the improvement or upgrade of complete stainless steel in the inside.

I have been using this kettle for 6 months.
Size is perfect for me. Auto shut-off works well and handles and pours better than others I have used.
Easy to keep clean. Love the gray/white color and if you can call a kettle “cute”, it is. 🙂
    p.s.
I keep the pot on a silicone pad so the base doesn’t move.

I bought this product because it appears small robust and durable appearance. I must say it is just as I described it. I am pleased at the speed at which it boils water with absolutely no noise. the kids are more comfortable using the kettle vs using a pot and I am not worried about the kettle being accidentally turned or left on, because it boils dry protection. This kettle is worth every penny spent. Love satisfied customer

This was my first electric kettle as I got into tea a few weeks ago. I just couldn’t see paying $100 for a kettle to boil water, so this seemed like a better bargain. I think I’m ready for an upgrade though. This kettle has the perfect size and look. It looks good on the counter top or table top. And it does it’s job — it boils water. But that’s all it does. The most important thing it lacks is some kind of “keep warm” feature, so the water gets colder after awhile. That wouldn’t be a problem because the kettle works fast, except I’m told it’s not good to re-boil water for tea. That also wouldn’t be a problem if I drank my tea in the kitchen where I could just get fresh water. Basically, every time I want to refill my glass, I need to dump the water out and heat a new pot. That’s not so bad, really, but as I’m learning more about tea, I also want to control the temperature of water (not all teas want to steep in 212 degree boiling water).

I’ve also been hearing that it’s not good to have a plastic tea kettle. I don’t know. The description says it’s okay, and I really like the little window to see the water boiling. Considering the aesthetic appeal of this little cutie, I think I’m okay with the plastic kettle as long as it’s safe.

And there’s the rub. I’m not sure if it is. I followed the manufacturer’s recommendation of cleaning it several times prior to use. There are strange participles floating in the water. I don’t know what they are. At first I thought they were built-up scale due to the hard water in my area, but now they seem to clearly be parts of the bottom that are flaking off, like paint chips or something. It’s making me nervous about using this kettle anymore. The tiny filter inside seems to be catching those particles and none is appearing in my tea glass, but it still makes me nervous. What if there are tiny particles I can’t see that go through the filter? If tea can flavor my water and impact it’s nutritional value just by floating inside it for awhile, can these particles do the same? What are they are and why are they peeling off from my unit?

I think it’s time for me to spend a little more money and get a name-brand steel or glass kettle with all the extra features.

edit: I have no proof that this is related, but a recent alarming and embarassing health symptom seems to have improved when I stopped using this kettle. A proper test would involve using it again to see if the issue comes back, but I’m not willing to do that. I purchased a $100 kettle instead with all the extra features and stainless steel construction.

edit: It looks like that stuff was just scale. I’m adding more stars to the review. I threw a vinegar solution in, boiled it, left it overnight, and rinsed it out. It looks as new. The bottom is supposed to be metal, not white. Clearly the problem is the water and not this item’s construction. I am likely going to gift this kettle to someone or take it to work. I’ve noticed a similar build-up in the new kettle, too. I’m going to switch to only using bottled water for my tea to see if that helps. I’ll keep a gallon sized bottle near my kettle.

Bought this for my mom because she sometimes put the kettle on the stove and forgot to remove it. She loves it! Simple to use, boils in 2 minutes and shuts off automatically. Looks nice on her counter. Keeps her safe!
