Installed the carburetor but the gas was coming out from the overflow line. Had to remove the bottom cover and unstuck the float. Other than that, carburetor worked great.

Our Recon 250 was running rough and struggled to stay running at idle with efforts to clean existing carburetor unsuccessful. The fit and finish were perfect however I would agree with other reviews of the one nipple being short where a hose attaches, no reason why the manufacturer can’t make it sufficiently long. Installed the replacement carb it the ATV runs perfectly, easily starts, idles nicely and accelerates to top speed with no sputtering.

Installed this carburator on my 1998 Honda recon 250 TRX. The motor started instantly upon my first try. It seems to be idling perfectly. It my need some adjustment ,but this atv hasn’t run this good for a very long time

I installed it and fired up right away, runs perfect. I only had to make a small idle adjustment and that was it. i also used the original honda throttle body. Parts seem to be exact. I also had to change the pet cock, to my luck i just changed the internal gasket but i did have to drill out the rivet i then matched the drill to the thread size so the screws with the kit threaded in nice.
