Reamer and Insertion Tools are a bit large in diameter making most repairs difficult. However it makes up for it in sturdiness. I wouldn’t want to use this kit on a daily basis, but for me I would rather have a kit that’s not gonna bend on me while I’m stranded. I can put up with the extra effort needed.

well first off you have to have your own pliers to pull the object from tire and there was no lubricant in the plastic container but other than that worked fine for me. where I live there is no shop in town which will plug a tire for you, they want to sell you a brand new tire. So if you have a 3 or4 hundred dollar brand new tire with a screw or something in it they want to sell you another tire. So this is a great bargain.

I ordered as I was going on a road trip, both repair handles were rusty, white rust. Also the lubricant was leaking. Have not tried it yet as planned to return it but missed the return window date.

Our tire picked up a large bolt that we could hear clicking when we were driving, and our low pressure warning light lit on our dash. Yep—tire was 7 psi below recommended (32 down to 25), I could not see the leak site and we were far from home so I drove some more then checked again. Just one more psi down over those 20 miles so all the way home (100 miles more) we drove. By that time I was able to find the leaking spot and see the bolt head had ground off or broken off. It was just a very slow leak, a few psi more per day, but I knew it would only get worse.
I decided to order this kit after reading reviews & don’t believe the haters. It worked so well for me it is worthy of my time to write of my experience. The tools to me all seem robust & top notch, especially for the price. There are multiple straps inside the nice case to secure them in place. YES—you have to use your own pliers but come on—don’t ding the product when that is spelled out clearly in the description!
So—I had the huge benefit of allowing a full day in my own garage to do this. I pulled the wheel since others had said it much easier that way. I then used my pliers to pull the remaining bolt out of the tire and immediately heard the air rush out. “That’s a pretty big hole!” I thought. I reamed the hole easily, lubed the plug installation tool, centered one plug strip in the tool and pushed it in all the way except about 1″ left outside the tire. I aired up the tire after about 5 minutes of what I thought would be “cure time” but don’t know if that’s necessary. After my initial inflation to full pressure the tire actually did leak down a bit over a few hours. A few cycles of this and it has stayed sealed completely ever since….not even down a pound! I assume this was the time the vulcanizing compound (already applied to the plugs) took to seal to the tire….maybe if I had driven on it right away (heat generated and varying forces) it would not have leaked out. My initial fear of “huge hole” and assuming I might need to plug twice or use 2 plugs the fear was unfounded.
I will update this post if something goes awry. For now I am one happy customer as well as a happy camper. I’d strongly recommend this kit based on my experience, plus I have the remaining patches & tools if needed again. I hope this helps you with your decision/choice.

I have not had a need to use this plug kit, and hopefully I won’t need it anytime soon! I will update if I do use it at some point. It feels like a solid, high quality set. The case is pretty nice, too.

Bought this kit last year for emergencies. I worked in a tire shop when I was young so alot of experience plugging tires. The supplied tools are sturdy and seem good quality… much better than the plastic handle tools you get in kits at big box store…. which are usually good for 1 or 2 uses and I’ve broken a bunch of those over the years. Everything advertised in the kit was present. I stuck it in the wife’s car.
Fast forward a year and I just used this kit on a nail in a tire on the daughters Jeep. I did have to tighten the set screws for handles as they worked loose during the repair. Otherwise no issues. The supplied plugs were nice and pliable and the lubricant worked fine. Very happy for the price.

This worked great patching a tire in the aftermath of a storm when all the mechanics in the area were closed. I’m glad I went with this more expensive, but better kit with stronger all-metal tools. I couldn’t imagine trying to punch through a thick tire with chintzy tools. I also appreciated the simple, yet descriptive illustrated directions.

Product is incomplete and not as shown in photographs. Lubricant container is empty and Insertion tool is missing the retaining platform/ring. Product description also lists 2 spare valve caps, but is shipped and shown with 2 spare valves.

Really impressed with this very inexpensive kit. It’s a quality tool kit that works great and has a clear set of instructions. I’ve successfully patched tires twice with this kit.

Set was quick to arrive and seems very well made.
I had the misfortune of using the kit a week after I received mine by picking up a screw in the rear tire.
I had patched and used the old plug gun method of repairing objects in tires but this was a first for me using this type repair.
First off I tried to repair the tire while still mounted on the car. I saw this done at other places but being on the shoulder of the road it was just to difficult to get the file into the tire to prep the tire for the new plug.
I took the tire off the car and had a much better angle to push into the tire and clean up the rubber and file down the steel belt around the hole. The strip plug then went in and released easily from the tool.
Trimmed the plug down just above the tire tread and put air into the tire with a portable 12 volt compressor. Tire did not leak and put it back onto the car.
All toll from the time I decided taking the tire off the car was the best option until I was putting it back onto the car again was no more than 10 minutes.
For less than the cost of one tire repair I now know how to do this in the future myself and have the tools and material to make 12 more repairs should I ever need to.
The tools in this kit were metal and look like they were professional quality, not like the plastic versions you see costing almost as much as this one in the big box stores.
If I should misplace this or lend it out to one of my kids who will surely lose it, I would definitely purchase another one off Amazon.
Well worth the investment.👍👍👍

It was missing the plunger guide and the lubricant container was completely empty. Choose another brand.
Tazman –
Ordered this for my car as it does not come with a spare. It arrived with a critical part missing. It was missing the retaining platform that is critical for correctly inserting the plug material. It was also missing lubricant in the container. I will be returning it.
