I bought this coat for a trip to Iceland (purchased two – one for each family member). It held up fairly well in Iceland; however, in a downpour with intense wind, it failed a bit. We both stayed dry (and it was pretty much windproof), but the pockets on the outer shell filled with water. Luckily I’d moved my phone to an inside pocket, so nothing got wet – but I was disappointed that the pockets got so wet, and then they took forever to dry! Maybe they weren’t zipped shut completely, although we thought they were – so I’ll definitely test it out more when winter comes, as we have lots of rain in Seattle. But overall – it is a great coat. Very warm! I like that it can be two coats, although I never needed to separate them in Iceland – I did get a bit warm at times, and probably could have gotten away with removing the inner shell. If the pockets turn out to be waterproof, and the waterlogged pockets were my fault, I will update this with five stars, because it is a great lightweight but warm coat!

La calidad de los materiales es inigualable. Es 100% impermeable. No se cuela ni una gota de agua ni nieve.
Su chamarra interna protege perfecto del frío de la montaña. En combinación con capa 1 y 2 jamás sufrirás por el frío.
Recomiendo ampliamente!

I bought this for a recent trip to Iceland because I had limited packing space and wanted a solid black jacket that would match everything.
This worked perfectly and stood up to the freezing cold of Iceland in February. I wore this with highs of 20 degrees Fahrenheit (with thermals underneath) and I think it did a great job of keeping me warm (or as warm as possible). It’s also perfectly waterproof and kept me dry underneath even when snowing hard and when I went a bit too close to waterfall
The zippered pockets were convenient and the jacket had pretty sturdy zippers and was easy to zip and unzip with gloves on. Definitely high quality and worth the price! I’m also happy with the sizing on the medium. I’m 5’4” and typically wear a small/medium for tops. I have a 30” waist but usually am nervous about the tightness of sleeves on my jackets but this one fit perfectly even with layers on underneath!

I loved the pattern, the inside liner jacket, the fact that it goes below the bum. Would no doubt keep you very warm. I only returned it because, although I need a hood for an upcoming arctic trip, I wouldn’t ever wear the hood where I live, so I prefer a detachable hood.

I was looking for a jacket that I could use for 3 seasons and I think this is definitely the winner! With both layers on the coat is toasty warm down into the 20s (haven’t experienced weather colder than that). I am amazed at how warm the puffer alone is — warm enough for low 40s weather IMO.
Others have mentioned the fit and it’s funny: The puffer jacket does have a snug fit, but the outer layer does NOT — I find it to be a bit oversized. I feel like the puffer part of the jacket is a “small large” and the outer shell is a “large large”, if that makes sense. This is sort of odd because the coat feels snug but looks baggy when wearing both pieces. That said, wearing both pieces together doesn’t *look* bad. Also, I wish it had a petite cut! The sleeves are way too long on my frame — I’m 5’1.
Because I bought this jacket to be worn in multiple seasons, it’s getting 5 stars. I wouldn’t consider it the perfect jacket, but it was exactly what I needed.

I liked this interchange style better than its cousin who was fleece lined because it felt a bit warmer, was easier to slide on and off, and gave me 3 jackets in one, all of which I can use both here in TX for not so bad winters and while traveling abroad. I liked the color, too! Nice to have something more feminine. The hood cinches well, and the Velcro and skirt add a layer of wind resistance. Very happy with this coat.

Great ski jacket, has detachable inner layer so you can have a stand alone puffer jacket. Very versatile and great quality!
Metztli –
Excelente chamarra para esquiar, súper caliente y cómoda.

Perfect fit and looks great. I sm looking foward to taking it Germany in December. I needed something warm and waterproof and I did not want to have to bring multiple coats/jackets, so 3 in 1 is perfect.

This fall my youngest daughter informed me last season’s coat was too small and it was time to get a new one. As she’s at the end of her growth, wanted to get something a little nicer than the typical kid coat. She wanted something less flashy than the usual bright colors of ski jackets, but that went below her waist to block wind and very warm. Enter this coat.
She got the coat in black and was pleasantly surprised that it has a very subtle pattern to it. Gives it a little character without bold, garish designs. It drops past her waist to help block wind, including having an elastic cord to cinch it if necessary.
As for warmth, currently it’s been near or below zero degrees and she’s still comfortable. If anything it’s a little too warm as she has had to remove the out shell in temps above freezing.
The last perk is Columbia’s lifetime warranty on defects, which means this classic jacket should last her many many winters. Money well spent.
Fit is true to size – she’s 5’7”, 130# and the large fit her perfectly.
