First, let me say that I like this case. It is very sturdy and will protect my Tenor Kanile very well. In fact, it fits perfectly in this case.
Like others have noted, when I opened the case for the first time I was assaulted by the strong chemical smell from the glue. Mostly because the glue hasn’t totally set up and the foam. I’ll air it out before putting my uke in it.
The case was hastily made and there were areas of uncovered glue on the interior sides. Some of which were where the plush padding was fitted too low. I think rubber cement thinner or Goof Off will remove the glue. I am not a big fan of plush. It hides too many flaws and this case is no exception.
The biggest problem is with the fit of the center storage compartment/neck support. The foam sides weren’t seated properly they are about a half inch too high. While the inner piece that makes a lip for the top of the compartment is higher still. Resulting in the lid sitting too high when closed. So the rivet holding the pull tab to open the lid may dig into the neck of the ukulele. Fortunately, the neck of my Kanile is thin so I can easily run the strap underneath the neck to protect it. I’d be concerned about my Pono’s thicker neck.
The case came with TWO padded straps that attach to a single ring on the back, and a ring on each side to form an inverted “V” backpack-like configuration. Handy if you also have to hump some music, a stand and a chair for a gig.
I have read a couple of comments about the five closure latches that hold the case shut are a pain. I think they are easier and quicker than a zipper that runs around a case. All of mine are tight. The lid’s fit is fine.
There is also a separate strip of plush foam to put under the bottom of your uke if it’s short. The Kanile doesn’t need it.
All in all, a fine case. The shell is excellent. I’d give it 4 stars because of the poor fitting of the interior foam pieces and having to clean off exposed glue.
UPDATE: It has been three weeks since I’ve been airing out the case and it still stinks. I put my ukulele in it for a day and my uke now smells like chemicals! Not good. I understand that out-gassing is an issue, but it should not be this bad. Downgrade to 4-stars.

The case is shipped in an unpadded cardboard box. While nothing is broken, the top and bottom of the case don’t line up easily. This means you have to fiddle with it to get the aluminum trim to slip together correctly before latching. Don’t know if this is a manufacturing defect or a shipping damage problem, but it is unrepairable by me and a PITA to use. That said, it fits my tenor ukulele perfectly and is definitely a lot of protection against bumps and drops.

I bought this Crossrock hard-shell case, in blue, for my Kala KA-T tenor ukulele. I’m very happy with my purchase. The finish is great (has a nice texture to it, feels good to carry). Solidly built. The fit is great. If the fit had been loose, they included an extra piece of pad that could be used to snug things up. I didn’t need it. They also included two very deluxe straps, that could be used to wear this case like a backpack. I haven’t done that yet, but I do appreciate the attention to detail for this whole package. Yeah, like everyone else has said, mine does smell funny too. No big deal. Think of it like if you just had new rug installed in your living room. It would have an odor and smell like glue, right? Same with this. I’m sure it will go away over time. I’m not sticking my nose in the case to snort the air in there, so don’t really care. So to sum it all up, I’m delighted with my purchase. If I ever buy another uke, I’d definitely want to order another one of these.

I bought this as an Amazon warehouse deal – they said that it was either a second or something – IMHO it is perfect. I had been in touch with Crossrock as my tenor ukulele was handmade in Peru and thus its dimensions were a hair different. They were really helpful and said – “tight fit but should be OK,” and it was a tad tight on the upper bout BUT after one day it seems to slide in with no issues. The case itself is excellent. I like the silver finish so that sunlight will not over heat the instrument. The seal is excellent and the catches are terrific. I like having the extra lock on the other side of the neck as well as the front as I believe that this gives better protection. The handle is really comfortable and the balance is perfect. On some cases – mainly guitar and banjo – the handle is badly placed and the instrument becomes difficult to carry over a long time.

Speedy delivery & goods exactly as advertised. Great value! Thank you.

I really like this case great protection for my instrument. Great looking as well.

A severely excellent and classy case. This fits my tenor Cordoba 25TK-CE perfectly. The champagne hard shell is accented nicely with the white furry interior – like the inverted body of a plushy polar bear. The inner compartment is right-sized for tuner, strings and a (small) neck-strap.
Also nice is the number of latches – Five, and one is keyed (two keys included – one to give to the spouse for when you lose yours). There is also a strap for the case, it having a padded shoulder strap.
No flaws, no loose rivets, the lining is tight without exposed glue, and there are no cosmetic defects on the plastic.
This was completely worth every penny.

I was a little wary reading the reviews that mentioned strong fumes, but it had a free return policy, so I bought it. I didn’t catch a whiff of noxious fumes from the moment I opened it. It’s sturdy, looks nice, fits great. I think the description said one of the latches can lock, but there are no locking latches on this case. I’m not worried about it, those latches with locks are not very sturdy anyway. Glad I bought it!

Other reviews for tenor case are accurate: very sturdy; backpack straps are military grade lol; latches are a bit tight, had to use a few applications of baking soda/essential oils & airing out to diminish smell, a little bit of glue residue on interior lining; accessory compartment is too small to hold strap. Even though adjustments need to be made, you still get more for the money over store bought cases.

It is a perfect fit. I also bought a concert size on too.
Love the two well padded shoulder straps. Great colour blue for me. The four latches are a classy touch as well. It also has a small foam piece covered with the same plush lining, to mould around the end of your ukulele if it is a little smaller.
I would have liked to have a bigger compartment for tuner etc.
98%. 5 STARS. OH AND IT IS TOUGH TOO‼️

This case is awesome! It is strong, light weight, great looking (the champagne color is classy and unique), the hardware is good quality, the padding is thick. My tenor fits will with the included extra pad at the bottom. I love that it has a comfortable to hold handle as well as 2 straps including for shoulder and backpack mode of carrying. There is that weird chemical smell others have noted but I don’t spend a lot of time smell my use case, do you?
Dr. Ronald G. Clark –
Exceptionally classy blue case. My Kmise 4 String 23 inch Banjo Ukulele Concert instrument fits perfectly in this. The case came with two very well padded carrying straps — so you can tote it like a backpack! At first I saw no use for the second strap until I saw that there were hooks on both sides of the base. Be careful when you first open the case because in addition to the four latches on one side, there is a single one on the opposite side which must be opened prior to opening the lid, otherwise you might try to force the lid open and damage it. Note: I wrote a previous review thinking that the second strap had no use. Then I saw the extra side hook on the base.
