Donner has done a nice job fitting a Swiss Army knife of ambient effects into this pedal. None of the settings are particularly flashy, but it’ll cover the majority of delay and reverb styles most folk will ever need pretty well.
The build quality, first off, is excellent, and it looks and feels top notch. The gold looks fantastic and it feels like it should last a long time. Zero complaints in that department.
The delays can range from super short slapback to oppressively long gaps and feedback loops, and the tap tempo helps you find the right tempo in between. Personally, I like to keep it relatively low and with the tone dialed back to keep it from cluttering up the soundscape (and to keep my mistakes from being thrown back in my face in full HD), but it has the options to crank up the delay if you prefer. The digital delay provides a good basic, clean copy of your playing, but I find the vintage setting with less treble to be a little easier to use musically.
The reverb similarly covers most of your bases, without straying too far from the tried-and-true essentials. It excels at giving a moderate reverb, which is what most players are looking for, but will probably disappoint shoegazers looking for more extreme abyssal reverbs. I like the room reverb for regular, moderate verb, and I’m surprised how much I like the plate reverb for more dramatic and ambient sounds.
Overall this is a lovely, well made pedal that covers most all the reverb and delay options you’ll need without delving excessively deep. I can imagine real ambient reverb junkies will want more far-out options, but this is a session player’s dream for easily accessing most of the reverbs and delays you’ll ever practically need.

I am primarily a bass player who also plays guitar. I’ve been playing both for over 50 years, but now I just noodle around with my guitar at home for my own enjoyment. I have never done much with pedals but I have acquired a couple and am having fun with them.
Having said all that, this seemed pretty cool, so I ordered it from Amazon. My favorite guitar effect is reverb and I have a couple of amps without built-in reverb. And, I remember some guitar players using the old tape delay Echoplexes back in the day, so I thought it would be fun to see how the digital world can re-create this. It seems to be well made with a sturdy aluminum case. The knobs work smoothly and the jacks give a nice secure feel when the cords are plugged in. The footswitches also worked well. There are four small rubber pads supplied but not applied allowing you to use them or apply your own Velcro, whatever works for your application. It has a jack for the standard 9v DC power supply that most pedals seem to use.
As typical with these devices, the instructions that came with the pedal could really have given more information on how to use it. There is a nice, easy to read quick start guide in color included with the pedal. Also included is a User Manual (black and white) in six languages that has a little more information, but still only four small pages. I have included images of both so you can see for yourself.
The Reverb and Delay with this pedal are separate functions and are controlled independently by two different foot switches. The functions can be used together or separately.
The Reverb has knobs to set Level and Delay and there is a toggle switch to set the effects to Hall, Room, or Plate. Each of these three effects sounds different, but are hard to describe. I liked the Hall effect best, but that is a personal preference.
The Delay has knobs to set Level, Tone, Repeats, and Time. Again, there is a toggle switch to set the effects, and for Delay they are Echo, Digital, and Vintage. The Vintage “may” emulate the sound of the Echoplex, but it has been a lot of years since I have heard the latter. The pedal also has the ability to store two different sets of effects settings.
I had fun with this pedal and the price, while not a bargain, seems reasonable for what you get.

I’ve never tried a Donner pedal so I was keen to try the Yellow Fall 2 Delay/Reverb especially given it’s overall aesthetic design which should be familiar to anyone familiar with the current pedal market. The pedal seems well built with nothing about its construction that causes me concern. The enclosure, jacks, switches, and knobs seem solid. The pots turn smoothly. The mustard yellow finish on the enclosure is smooth and the gold panel with black knobs looks classy. The black lettering is clear and easy to read. Well done, Donner.
As far as functionality goes, the pedal has independent mono/stereo Delay and Reverb activated by separate foot switches. Each side has a toggle switch for selecting between different Delay/Reverb types:
Delay – Echo/Digital/Vintage
Reverb – Hall/Room/Plate
The Delay has Level, Tone, Time, and Repeats knobs and the Reverb side has Level and Decay knobs. There’s also a toggle switch for switching between two presets and non-preset mode. You can use this along with the S|T switch to save the current state of the knobs and switches into the selected preset slot. You can also use the S|T switch to set the delay tempo. There are no tap tempo subdivision settings but you can tap those timings in if you know how. The included Quick Start Guide is nice and clearly explains how the pedal works. As far as I can tell, there are no extended settings that can accessed such as enabling/disabling delay and reverb trails. Switching the effect off cuts off the trails.
Sound-wise, it sounds good! It’s not as deep and full featured as other dedicated delay and reverb pedals but what it does it does well. If tap tempo and rhythmic delays and wildly oscillating delays are a big deal for you then this pedal is probably not what you want. If you’re into deep modulated reverb then this one may fall short for you. However, as a tool to combine delay and reverb together for very usable normal sounds and dip your toe a bit into space, it does a great job, especially for the price tag.
I’ve attached a video demonstrating some of the sounds of the Yellow Fall 2. It’s not a full demo illustrating all of the settings, sounds, and capabilities. It’s just me turning some knobs, pressing record, and seeing what happens even if it’s ugly. However, I think there are some really cool sounds in it. I used it in stereo and there are no other effects used. It’s just amp, cab, and Yellow Fall2 post amp and cab.
To sum things up, I like this pedal and consider it a good value for the money given its features and sound quality.
