The Gamo Swarm Fusion 10X Gen 3i rifle is fantastic. It takes 30 pounds of force to cock it but is very manageable. I am 71 and in good shape but glad I chose this gun instead of the big brother Magnum version that requires 30% more power to cock it. This 22 caliber rifle blew pellets right through a 3/8โ OSB backstop. Switched to a backstop of 3/4โ 5-ply plywood, the rifle fully imbedded the pellets but they didnโt penetrate all the way through. PLENTY of power for squirrels and any other rodents you may wish to dispatch. The targets above are from my second session with the rifle, the first after sighting in the scope. No bench or bench rest, just sitting on the ground using my knees for support. Gamo pellets, the Hunter impact 15.43 gr at 75 feet were decent. The Red Fire 15.4 gr were definitely more accurate, although it could partially be attributed to my getting used to the trigger pull. ( Before yesterday, itโs been a few years since I shot a rifle.) The 30 foot target is the range I estimate to my bird feeder, where the squirrels have been harassing my feathered friends. The 3-9x scope that comes with the Fusion is very good. The only con I have is that I have to break open the barrel to remove the scope covers or to put them back on. The front cover will just about but not quite slip by the breech platform. Small thing and I would rather break it open than loosen the rings and reposition the scope. (The base of the scope is anchored by a recoil pin and the barrel mount canโt be moved any further back when mounting the scope to the gun (but the screws on the rings can be loosened and the scope moved further to the rear. )). Definitely a 5 star product, I am very pleased with it. The gun is also quiet. Makes about as much noise as an air nailer. The pellets make more noise hitting the backstop than the gun does spitting them out.

Lots of good things about this rifle and a couple of oh shit moments, but quickly addressed by manufacturer.
Iron sites shot true out of the box – quarter grouping at 10yrds, 2″ grouping at 30yrds. Added scope and after 100 shots windage just didn’t dial in. Contacted Gamo and they immediately sent me out a replacement. That worked great and was a very happy camper with quarter groupings at 30yrds. However, another 200 shots later the loader came off the guide grove/cam. What a pain! Being comfortable fixing things, removed pins and re-assembled. Worked fine until i forgot to treat it with TLC, slow break – it came off again. Do over and then shot 9 magazine before it unseated itself again. Was done with it, but again, Gamo sent out a replacement within a week and it continues to work great. As mentioned everywhere the scope is, well, limited. No AO with focus set to 25yrds. Find it good for up to 50 yards. Upgraded the scope to a Pinty 4-16X40 AO Red Green Blue Illuminated Mil Dot. Sweet scope for $54. Unfortunately, it was way too long and sat over the break of the barrel which depressed me – had to send it back and will live with Gamo’s.
Found that it works best with 18 grain pellets at 25 yards plus. 25 grain slugs drop considerably -approx. 2″ at 30 yards. At 30 yards 18 grains demolish 3/4″ plywood!

I shoot a Sig Saur Cross 6.5 Creedmoor and since the cost of ammo has skyrocketed weekend shooting is expensive even if you can find in stock ammo. This air rifle is a blast, it is very accurate with excellent quality control and with the provided scope was almost perfect zero out of the box. It is fast and has very good knockdown power for varmint and small game. The barrel brake will wear you out if shooting for a long time so if you have shoulder injuries consider gas powered. This is a great value for money and the best price is from Gamo on Amazon. This is a great air rifle to teach fundamentals and practice fundamentals without spending a few hundred on ammo when you just want to target practice on the weekend. Also great for nuisance varmint control. It is not whisper quiet, but other reviwers with more time shooting it said it gets very quiet after break in. That being said it is quiet enough to shoot in an urban area without disturbing or alarming your nieghbors. 5 stars

Scope is indexed and a breeze to install. 3 set screws on a spring loaded clamp and good to go.. Sighted very close from factory. Initial quality seems very good. Good glass and magnification. Will follow up as I get her broke in.
Rifle is powerfull, robust, and potentially accurate. My initial groupings are bigger that I hoped but I’m a rusty shooter and didnt have a proper rest. Fun gun for tuning shooting skills. I really wanted the Gamo Swarm Bone Collector, looks like a very beautiful varmit weapon, but sadly Amazon would not ship to my Alaska address.
