HONGBAKE 9-Piece Nonstick Baking Pans Set

We have been using different pieces of this set almost everyday since it arrived. We love it. We noticed the way things cook evenly and the waffle surface makes a huge difference. The muffin pan is nice and I haven’t had anything stick inside yet. My daughter in law uses that twice a week.
We do handwash all of our dishes as we don’t have a dishwasher, and these still look brand new after almost a month.
I have always had the darker nonstick pans and I really wasn’t expecting these to work differently, but they honestly do. This set has everything in it that you find in most common recipes, I think that’s important. I always seem to not have the size/measurement of the pan they call for , and that always changes cooking times and consistency. I don’t really like cooking, so I want to just follow a recipe and get it over with , and not have to make exceptions or think about it. This is a well rounded set that I actually don’t hate using, and makes my recipes easier to follow.

I really needed some new bakeware so I was thrilled to have the opportunity to try these out! This is a nice, sizeable set which includes a lot of the normal things you’ll need for everyday use. I was impressed at how substantial each piece is- they aren’t thin little pans that feel like they’re going to break right down. These are thicker than a lot of the “set” pans that you will typically find and I think that the quality is reflected in the price. I’d consider these to be a really nice mid-range set of pans. They’re not top of the line, but they certainly aren’t cheapo bakeware either- they’re definitely quality.

While the description does mention that these are gold, in the pictures, they look a bit more rose-gold. They will be more on the gold side but they do have a touch of a rose tint. They look more like a champagne color to me. Color is not super important to me- if anything, I just really like that they have a unique look to them!- but if it’s important to you it’s good to know.

I’m very impressed with this set. I’ve been using the pieces as needed and I’ve been really happy with how they do. Not only do they spread the heat evenly, I have also found them to be very easy to clean. I hand wash them out of preference- I just prefer to hand-wash bakeware- but I’m sure I could throw them in the dishwasher and they’d do just fine if I wanted to. I’ve really enjoyed using them thus far. The included pans are pretty standard sizes, which is nice- it’s really nice to not have to constantly try and guestimate how a different size than a recipe calls for changes the cook time. Over the years all of my standard sizes had dwindled down and I had none left, and I’m really glad to have these now. They’re honestly great to cook with and I’ve really been enjoying them!

This Hongbake bake set Is esthetically very unique and pleasing and definitely an eye catcher when you pull them out, especially compared to our existing set. You will notice right away they are quite sturdy In comparison to most baked sets out there. We’ve only used a handful of items in the set but everything has baked well, left little residue, and the pans all cleaned up quickly and easily. After three weeks of use we have not noticed any discoloration as of yet, though I expect over time that will change as it does with most sets.

Below are a few positives and negatives:

**Positives:**
1. the metallic champagne color and the raised diamond pattern are very esthetically pleasing and unique.
2. Non stick treatment does seem to work effectively
3. the pans are very sturdy and solidly built
2. the set includes a variety of pans that cover most baking needs, just keep in mind the maximum temperature rating is 450 degrees Fahrenheit.

**Negatives:**
1. The set does seem prone To scratching If not handled or stored properly, We did notice a slight scratch on one that was pulled across one of our burners, it was very minor but did serve as a warning this could be an issue over time if not handled with care and stored properly.
2. For those that like perfectly nesting sets altogether this may not be your ideal set as there are some that are made to nest better but overall these nest decently for storage.
3. Finally, perhaps the biggest negative for me is that while we are told what is not in this nonstick treatment, we don’t know what was used or at least I have been unable to find it. I feel providing full disclosure on what is used to make it nonstick would be prudent and hopefully they’ll update their listing.

Overall I feel the HONGBAKE 9-Piece Baking Pans Set is Good value for money($70 at time of review) for its quality, design, and versatility. The set provides options Or a wide range of baking needs and I appreciated its aesthetic appeal. With my primary concern being what the nonstick treatment is made of a Ah **** nd some minor concerns about scratches and nesting, my overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.
