It was produced five years ago and is really old processor, but the features and pricing is decent. I would not recommend it for a security system with cameras. After setting it up for BlueIris, the CPU usage was too high for me. With 5 HD cameras, it was at 70%. Cranking out lot’s of heat. Decided to keep it, but not for home security. The size is great! And like the Thunderbolt so I can expand it with it more monitors. I came up with it being about $300 cheaper then the latest generation of processors for the same config.

Even if this is an older generation computer it’s still quite powerful for what it is. Outfitted with enough RAM and the requisite SSD it works great for Windows or even Linux.
Very reliable performance and overall behavior.
Plenty of ports including very powerful though admittedly limited use Thunderbolt ports.
Keep in mind though, that since this is an older generation model, it only has 1GbE Ethernet port (not 2.5GbE) and only 802.11ac (not WiFi 6/6E). But otherwise it is very quick for how old it is.
