I have purchased several product from KGU Brass and they have never missed the mark.
This purchase is no exception. The adapter is simple and effective, fits into the 4 trumpets I have, all different brands from commonplace commercial brands like Bach, Yamaha, Schilke and Conn to some of the custom horns I have from Brasspire and RBT.
The adapter fits correctly into every horn I have and many of my mouthpieces as well. Be confident that your Bach, Schilke, Denis Wick, Yamaha, etc… will all work with this adapter. The adapter also allows the horn to stay in tune, something that can be an issue with adapters and Flugel to trumpet type mouthpieces.
Overall I would highly recommend this adapter to anyone looking to make their trumpet work overtime as a adhoc Flugel when the need arrises.

This adapter allows you to play a standard b flat trumpet with a flugel mouthpiece. It works pretty well. I first played with my normal Bach 1.5c in the video, the switched to a yamaha 16f4 flugel piece using the adapter. There is noticeably more depth to the sound on my Bach 37 and the blow feels much more open. Not quite a true flugel sound, but if you needed a more buttery sound for a jazz ballad, this would do the trick! Also, would work great for getting a thicker, Fuller sound on a low orchestral excerpt like the Carmen Prelude – I’d definitely use this to play the Carmen excerpt in an audition. The build quality is great, and the grooved receiver is very grippy, which I like. I did have to push in my main tuning slide considerably to get it up to pitch on my Strad, but really isn’t a problem at all, intonation was fine after that. Highly recommend.

It allows you to use your flugelhorn mouthpiece on your trumpet without having to buy a special flugel cupped mouthpiece with a trumpet shank! This flugel mouthpiece adaptor works very well at what it advertises – allowing you to use a flugelhorn mouthpiece in a trumpet. I was surprised at how good of a flugel sound I was able to get from my trumpet using this. I’ve been using it on small group gigs where I want a softer sound but don’t necessarily want to do flugel. The sound really is quite close to a flugel, however I have tried using it in a section with actual flugelhorns and it was difficult to get the blend quite right. For section playing you should use a regular flugel, but for solo stuff this is great!
