I have to admit, for the price of this Bass Guitar my expectations were pretty low. But when it arrived and I unboxed it, I was blown away. Of course it arrived de-tuned, the string tension was reduced so the neck wouldn’t deform during storage in the warehouse and the shipping time. I downloaded a Bass Tuning App to my phone and had the guitar ready to play in less than 15 minutes. The tone was perfect and I have no idea why other reviewers didn’t like the factory installed strings, because I found them to be completely functional and I have no interest in replacing them until they actually wear out. I’m by no means a professional musician, I purchased the Bass to provide backup to my wife’s Mandolin and it will be perfect for that function. It is pretty, well made, holds tune, and sounds great, and a great value for the price. What more needs to be said?

As a musician I got this for my nephew. I learned 30 years ago that cases are coffins for expensive guitars. You need cheap beaters to leave out on a stand, take camping, go to the beach, jam with friends at a BBQ, etc. If it gets ruined or broke its not a big loss and he is still playing and improving. This bass fit the bill perfectly. 5/5 would recommend as a cheap travel box.

First of all there was a problem with the original purchase but the seller is just fantastic to correct the issue I received a replacement promptly and the replacement is perfect it’s a beautiful very inexpensive acoustic Bass and decent gigable electronics sound I enjoy playing this worthy bass guitar. Preamplifier EQ , it’s got bridge piezo electronics and a decent preamplifier. I substituted the plastic saddle for a brass saddle generic 6 string guitar and the intonation held very close and generates a gorgeous tone. The strings are nothing to brag about to say the least they’re cheapies but here is the hack I’m going to share with you all you have to do is flatten the underside of the strings with a diamond flat file be very careful not to scratch any frets and keep the guitar tuned and under tension when you do this. Then go one more pass to the underside of the strings where they touch the frets, with very fine rouge grit. I like to use those multigrit fingernail Emery boards. Voila poor Man’s flat wound strings. Plays like butter. BTW the materials are sturdy and the truss rod is functional and the plek will shape up to excellent string clearance. The frets could use a good polish and if you really wanted to you could replace the nut but the nut seems to be adequate it’s a graph tech knock off.
