I’ve carried this inflation system in my hydration pack in case of need. Well its use was needed last weekend and it failed to deliver. I placed the twin speed drive onto the presta valve expecting the CO2 to discharge on contact. Nothing. I pressed down again to ensure I had a good seal, still nothing. So I thought I needed to loosen the head that makes contact with the presta valve. Still nothing. Eventually I loosened the head where the o-ring and washer fell out. I re-assembled the head and placed it back over the presta valve. Still nothing. Fortunately another MTB rider came by and he inflated my tire so I could make it back to my car.
This morning I checked out Lezyne’s website and there aren’t any instructions on how to use this system. I also checked out You Tube for any how-to videos but found nothing specific to the twin speed drive.
Although the use of this inflator seems straightforward, it isn’t. So beware. if you’re looking at buying this system, look for one that has a valve.
