For car camping, which is my primary outdoors style nowadays, or for milder/warmer weather use, this tent is great.
It sets up SO easily, and has a lot of nice features.
Always put up the rain fly, in that doing so cuts down markedly on any condensation inside of the tent.
This thing literally “pops up,” and then you secure the four corners with the supplied guy ropes and stakes, attach the rainfly, and then put the two poles together, and stake out the “porch cover” of the rainfly.
Spacious, good quality for the money, and easy to pack up and throw in the car.
Certainly not a tent for backpacking, (too heavy and bulky,) and not a tent for more challenging weather, it still is a very good outdoor shelter for the right conditions.

    – The Instant tent is very nice. No more need to put the 2 poles together, then slide through the roof of the tent, etc like the regular set up. This is, really in an instant. Quick setup makes this a nice tent for camping trips, or kid’s night sleep out in the yard. As for pouring rain, I have yet to test to see if there are any possible places where water can get in, because the rain fly is a cover over the tent. Overall this is a very nice summer tent that can be set up quickly and without much effort when compared to a regular tent.

Cool engineering. This is going to be great for the kids in the summer.

    Major features:
    – Really easy to setup. Pops up!
    – Good protection in all weather
    – Plenty of zippers and nice looking design
    – Manufacturer includes setup video (even though it is really easy it’s still a nice consideration on their part)

It is a little small and priced about what I expected. I like it overall.

Even if you never go camping, you should buy this tent for great family fun.
This tent is exactly what it says it is — an instant tent. It could not be easier to put together. I wish I’d videoed it. You literally open it, extend the four supports (they come folded in half), and the thing POPS UP BY ITSELF. Then all you have to do is secure the corners.
Once you secure the corners and stretch the tent material so the tent looks taut and sharp, you throw the “rain fly” over the tent. The “rain fly” is the green raincoat that comes with the tent. It’s to keep you from getting wet if it rains, to keep night moisture out, and to keep more body heat in the tent, in case it’s cold outside.
To put the “rain fly” on, pay attention to the part of the fly that goes over the entrance to the tent, as that will become your “porch roof.” Once you have the fly on, attach it to the tent at the corners, again to make it fit tautly over the tent. Then drive the stakes into the corners. There are also some convenient snaps.
Now here’s the only thing that a little tricky: There are 4 poles to hold up the porch roof; 2 of the poles have points that you could easily assume go in the ground. They do not. THE ENDS WITH THE POINTS GO IN THE HOLES ON THE CORNERS OF THE PORCH ROOF.
I suggest that you watch the two minute video on how to put the tent up. You can access it with a QR code that’s on the instructions. But if you don’t watch it, just wiggle the poles together until they fit into each other, remembering that the ends with the points go up. Then you use the provided strings and stakes to make the porch roof taut. Done and done. You can open multiple zippers, all of which zip and unzip easily; and you can roll up the rain fly for great ventilation.
This tent is so incredibly supercool. I can’t say it enough. When I put it up, all my friends who were visiting wanted to sleep in it. And they were all retired.

Absolutely love it. It’s comfortable and warm if you have the cover down and cools down quickly if you open the doors.
At first we were worried about how waterproof it is so we used a tarp underneath. It worked well and after rain, the top/edges of the tent dried crazy fast.
It will fit a double airmattress and still have room for all your stuff. I use a single mattress and then have tons of room to move around and store all my camping stuff.
It’s not small or light enough to carry backpacking if that’s your goal.

Very glad we purchased this tent🩷

Edit: The seller reached out to me within a few days of my review and sent a new tent to me. I cannot yet review the replacement as I have not yet returned home to see it. I’ve increased my star rating from 1 to 3 stars because the customer service was fantastic, but I would like to actually set the replacement tent up before deciding to increase my rating further. Expect a future update once I have seen the replacement.

I bought this tent to replace my regular tent (20 years old) that takes two people to set up as I would need to set up a tent basically on my own while travelling with my young child. We’ve been travelling for a few days and the tent broke where the leg attaches to the centre point. I was able to force it back together, but it came apart again the next day. I don’t have many tools with me to try to fix it properly and it takes 20+ minutes to try to get it back together and stable enough not to collapse, so I’ve ended up having to buy another ($200) tent from the limited options in rural Nova Scotia. I’m also stuck either trying to fit both tents in my tiny car for the next 3 weeks of travel so I can fix this one, or basically just trash it.

I’m an experienced camper and have never had an issue with a tent before aside from having to replace old elastic cord in tent poles. I’ve honestly never seen a tent so poorly (and cheaply) made. I’ve had far better luck with my old discount tent from XS Cargo. Absolutely not worth it to even risk it with this tent in my opinion, the cheap ones at Walmart will likely be better quality.
