So far we really like this machine.
My husband, who drinks multiple cups of coffee, feels like the single use feature for cups will use more coffee grounds. Obviously, this is accurate.
But if you like the option to make a pot or make a cup, this is great.
I don’t drink multiple cups, and prefer different coffee, so I use the single serve feature.

The frother is a not so glorified whisk that just happens to be part of the machine. It’s convenient, but nothing special.
It won’t steam your milk.

The over ice feature is very vague in its description of how it works.
We had to look it up on the internet.
Which says; hot water passes through the grounds creating a concentrated brew, then cooler water runs through to minimize ice melt.
We did a side by side temperature comparison and the over ice feature produced coffee at about 149 degrees, while classic coffee produced temperature of about 168 degrees.
So there is a difference for sure, but it is by no means producing “tepid” coffee for the over ice feature.

This is our second Ninja coffee maker. The first one lasted about 6-7 years and was a joy to use in every respect until certain key features like the cleaning cycle began to fail. We bought another Ninja because, even though they are arguably more expensive than many other highly rated coffee makers, we like the many features they have and they do brew great tasting coffee (provided – of course, you are using good quality coffee beans pre-ground or whole). The only reason we have not given this particular Ninja a 5 star stellar review is it seems to be less accurate than our original Ninja with regard to brew selection accuracy (e.g. to brew the equivalent of a half pot, I have found this selection makes about 4 oz. of coffee less than our older Ninja so I have to end up brewing a Travel mug then a regular cup to get what I would consider is a more accurate half pot). This brewing accuracy also seems to be off for the “X-large cup” selection as well. We don’t typically use that one, so it’s not a real problem for us, but it seems worth noting for all those who love a great cup of coffee and may be considering this model. We also like our original “Ninja Coffe Bar” for it’s smaller overall size than this new model.

I bought this coffee maker as an extremely self-serving anniversary present for my husband. Due to the shelter-in-place orders here in Ontario, his morning mocha was becoming hard to aquire. I found this item deeply discounted on the Amazon Warehouse site (it had an open box and was missing the instruction manual), et voila!
I forced him to open it early, we gave it a THOROUGH cleaning (because, pandemic), and haven’t looked back since!
I love the Ninja brand, and I love being able to maintain our concerning level of caffeine consumption (and support our local coffee-houses – most of them deliver fresh-ground beans!!).
Aside from the fact 2020 is a straight dumpster fire of a year, this was a great anniversary.

I needed a new coffeemaker after my Bunn coffeemaker wore out and the new Mr. Coffee coffeemaker I replaced it with suffered a broken carafe for which there’s no replacement. After extensive research and review of customer comments, I decided to buy this Ninja coffeemaker, even though it has more gadgets on it than I want or will use. I bought it because it has a great design, and best of all, Ninja actually makes replacement parts for the glass carafe and water reservoir that they keep in stock! The design of the carafe is excellent, as you can pour a cup of coffee with no drips. The top screws on, which is also better than the ones that snap on. It’s much easier to clean! I love the glass water reservoir, much better than the plastic ones. It also has an ingenious drip stop lever for the grinds basket, so no more coffee drips on the heating element when we pour a cup of coffee or remove the carafe for cleaning. I think the measuring spoon that snaps into the side is unnecessary and takes away from the looks of the coffeemaker, and I’ll never use it as the scoop I have is fine, but that’s not a dealbreaker. I probably won’t use the milk frother either, but some people may like it. I would have liked if a less expensive version had been offered without the gadgets, but I don’t regret this purchase. One nice feature is that since it accommodates multiple types and sizes of containers, any brand carafe with work as a replacement if this one breaks. The coffee it makes is just okay, not the best I’ve had, but I have only been using it for a week, so I will continue to experiment with measurements. I expect it will improve. The setup was super easy and quick. The instructions are very clear and well-written. Despite the many features, the instructions make it easy to use. I highly recommend this coffeemaker!

This is the first coffee maker that I actually find my coffee tasting as close as the one from my fav coffee shop.
