I’ve used Braun electric toothbrushes powered by AA batteries for decades because I’ve worked in remote places overseas where there was no mains power for charging toothbrushes (or anything else) with non-removable internal batteries. This toothbrush is double-branded as both Braun and Oral-B and has a few improvements. The brush head has been rotated 90° so that it is in the same plane as the long axis of the elliptical shaped body. This helps keep the toothbrush from being turned on accidentally when packed in a kit. The bottom is also a better fit than on the older Braun models; the plastic shell of the bottom may still be too thin to prevent cracking. (Time will tell.) At the current price point of this toothbrush, it should include the timer that was on previous Braun models at a fraction of cost of this one. Buyers for whom the timer is an important feature should consider a different model. Also, the item I received did not ship with Duracell batteries (as pictured in the advertisement) but with a generic Chinese brand.

I tried a few of the more expensive toothbrushes with round straight handles making it difficult to hold onto with my arthritis. This brush has just enough curve to give m something to hold onto. An the brush works great too.

I love this toothbrush. This is a replacement for one that I had before. It was just like this one. Guess I wore it out. I like this so much that I’m getting one for Christmas stockings for everyone in my family. I think you won’t be disappointed in this product.

This is a very elegant, simple, useful electric toothbrush at a very good price. I can see that the more modern versions, which cost significantly more, have built-in non-removable batteries, and charge with an included stand. I am perfectly happy to use rechargeable AA batteries in this model; the battery chamber is very well sealed against water leaks and I like being able to switch out the batteries for fully recharged replacements in seconds. I find that this cleans my teeth more thoroughly than a standard hand-operated toothbrush, looks good in the bathroom, and does a great job. Highly recommended. The only thing I would suggest when buying this would be to also buy some brush covers, sold separately, to protect the cleaning head while the machine is resting or being used for travel.

I purchased this toothbrush for myself last year and loved the job it does. It cleans each tooth like being at the dentist. My husband was purchasing a different type of electric toothbrush and was constantly replacing the heads. I told him he needed this toothbrush so I ordered him one as I was ordering something else that day. I think he likes his as much as I do.

Works fine. But there’s a stupid timer that flicks it on and off when some officious moron decides I’ve brushed my teeth long enough. I’ll decide that for myself. My pervious one didn’t have it, and there was no notice in the description warning me that it had been re-introduced.
