This is a very high quality and thoughtfully designed kayak. Plenty of storage, stable, and comfortable. The rod holders aren’t much good for holding rods you’re actively fishing with (live bait, etc), but they are fine for holding them while you paddle around.
The seat is outstanding! It’s basically a lawn chair for your kayak. I’ve gone for all-day trips and it was just as comfortable at the end as the beginning.
It’s a bit expensive but I haven’t given it a second thought since it arrived. Money well spent.

We are very excited about using this great looking kayak. However, upon taking it out of the NOT-very-protective plastic and cardboard, we could only find one of the two foot braces that are supposed to come with it. It was broken in two. The other was entirely missing.
The other frustrating aspect of this is, perhaps, in Amazon’s own “Return or Replace Items” options menu. It simply doesn’t include the option of keeping the MAIN item, and asking for a simple replacement part. Yes. I know. I DID click on the return item option, and then provided an explanation of what I really needed to be done, but I’ve not yet received any response from the seller. After spending a grand on an item, you’d think an almost immediate response wouldn’t be asking too much.
How hard would it be, though, to include “Part of item is broken or missing. Requesting replacement part,” as a possible item return selection option?
Clearly, though, without the foot brace, the kayak is only barely usable, but not at all usable for this mid-60s, out of shape attorney.

It got to me completely exposed and not wrapped in anything. The type of gash it has would have to have been forcefully shoved on a metal edge. Was super scared it was deep enough to leak. Filled it up with water and it held. No sense in Non Stop Delivery or nsd delivery for short to be this rough with such a expensive buy. Have not had a chance to test it yet but awesome looking kayak and big upgrade from lifetime angler kayak. Just disappointing to see something new look that banged up. Feel like I bought a used one. If some money taken off for a scratch and dent item may raise the stars but terrible 😑 experience. Pictures probably don’t do the scratches justice on how bad they really are.

Feel very safe in this kayak as a big guy (6ft & +255lb). Kayak glides easily through water and easy to maneuver (just make sure to spend extra for a really good paddle – definitely worth it). Seat is very comfortable, although sits a little lower than I thought it would. I’ve been on over half a dozen +3 hour trips and have have felt great sitting in seat with little discomfort. Not sure I’d feel comfortable standing in this kayak at my size. Really like the overall weight of kayak. I can easily lift and load this kayak to top of small SUV by myself with no problems. The only way to get a more stable kayak and slightly higher (comfortable) seat would require me getting a heavier kayak, which would be more difficult to load. I’ve looked at a lot of kayaks and think this is possibly the best one for this size and weight I’ve seen on market.

Beautiful design. Tracks well. Recommend to combine with Werner Tybee paddle. Rigging it is easy. Extremely stable. Love the adjustable foot rests. Was in between this and the 10 foot, but so glad I decided the 12. Boat wake doesn’t affect ride. Chair positioning is easy to adjust. Fitted mine with Garmin striker 4 and xpro rod holders. Definitely glad I chose this instead of the Moken or the Light Tackle. Simple, fun, fast, stable.

I am not new to the sport , in fact, I own several kayaks of different sizes and have been doing it for about 25 years. I bought a new Perception Pescador Pro 12 two month ago. The boat has been used only two times and cleaned with fresh water every time but my seat frame hinges (2) has started to rust. I had no idea that the seat frame on this model had parts not made from alum. just black painted steel. Most of these seats are made from alum. with some plastic parts so there is never any rust. I like the kayak buy what is Perception thinking? At this rate I’ll be looking for a replacement seat in a years time. NOT GOOD!

I’m really happy with this kayak, it has all the features of a high end model. The seat is amazing. Very comfortable for hours of paddling/fishing. The built in accessory tracks are perfect for adding the customized features I want. It is very stable and tracks quite well. Moves along nicely, have plenty of room for my legs and gear and was easy to maneuver. Overall this will be a great kayak to fish from. I highly recommend this kayak!!! I wouldn’t hesitate to buy this product again.

I fell in love with kayaking last summer while visiting a number of state parks with my daughter and this spring with most rentals shut down I decided to purchase my own. After much research I decided that at 6′ 2″, closer to 50 than 40, and though moving down close to 300lbs I would benefit from a sit on style kayak. I gotta say this one is perfect, its so comfortable to sit in, easy to get in and out of even after sitting for long periods, and plenty of room to stretch my legs out. All that said it still tracks nice, is very stable, and is easy to maneuver. After a couple times out I did add scupper plugs to keep my seat dry and would highly recomend that. The only downside is that it is a bit heavy, I can carry it around by myself (with some determination) but at least at this point can not load it on my suv by myself, though perhaps that will change with practice.
