The reason I bought Pervita PSP15 is to help my myofascial pain syndrome that affects most of my muscle groups. The machine is very heavy and is built like a Sherman tank. The touchscreen helps you to set the initial energy level and frequency to start the session with. However, I use the wheels on the top of the machine to adjust both the energy output and the frequency to my feelings. If I feel it does not hit the spot I increase the levels, if it causes too much pain or a feeling of electric jolt, I decrease the levels. So the session reminds of playing a musical instrument: forte and piano, crescendo and diminuendo.
I found out that frequency lower that 7 Hz with higher energy equal or greater 5 bars produces a focused deep pulse needed to reach deep profound muscles. It also take more time to cover those muscles at that frequency.
The higher frequency equal or greater than 10 with the same energy level yields notably less energy per pulse than lower frequency and the output remains on the surface rather than go deep. That mode is suitable for working on superficial tissues likely fascia. Also higher frequency mode covers the surface for tightly and much faster, making it possible to cover larger areas in less time.
I started using the Machine with ultrasound gel but found out that it is so slick that I cannot control the handle, it just slips away. I was recommended by the vendor to use any netral body lotion or just water, which actually works better for me that the gel.
It is a kind of art to use the machine on myself, so I have to keep an eye on the handle and sometimes use a wall mirror to see what you doing. I still learn how to properly bend the handle and direct the pulses where I need them.
All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and hope to get more out of my PSP15 once I learn to use it more effectively. Right now I am at the beginning of my learning curve and I’ll update this review if I find the ways to use it more effectively that worth sharing.

I had trouble with the handle after a month or two of use and the customer service was the best I have ever experienced with any product. They replaced the handle within the week of reporting the problem and followed up about its use and operation for a couple weeks after using it. It is comfortable, light in weight and loved by everyone receiving treatment. Will be buying the PSP30 next and stand by this product. Amazing!

Ir weighs more than what is stated. I have arthritic hands. I can lift 20 pounds, not 25.6 pounds. No where does Amazon state it will take 30 days for a refund. Do not buy anything expensive

I bought this to treat chronic back pain. I am very happy with my purchase so far. The machine is made of high quality materials, very well designed, easy to use, and performs similarly to the device used at my doctor’s office, where each session costs almost $200. Most importantly of all, the seller has really impressed me so far. When I’ve had questions about the device, I received prompt and clearly communicated responses from their post-sale service desk, including from an engineer who had actually helped design the device. I feel confident that if I have any issues with the device in the future, they will be able to support.

I have now had this machine for over a year for personal use to treat back pain. I use it on a weekly basis and sometimes more often than that, and it’s been an important tool to help manage my symptoms. The machine has proven exceptionally durable. I try to be gentle with the equipment, and everything remains in great shape, which I think speaks to the quality of the materials and assembly. The one time I had a minor issue with one of the components (one of the metal applicator heads broke, within the warranty window), the company immediately sent out a replacement.
The customer service has been nothing short of fantastic. Every time I have reached out, they have responded promptly and professionally. Jeff, the main customer service person I have communicated with in the after sales service department, is not only very helpful but also clearly understands the nuts and bolts of the machine from an engineering perspective. If you are in the market for a shockwave device this is a great choice.

I have a 35 year old torn medial meniscus that has flared up and have used a few times now with great results. I will be using this as part of my other therapy treatments for soft tissue injuries.

First one , the touch screen didn’t work . Sent it back . Got a second one ,it is stuck on 1 bar . Turn the knob that is supposed to increase and it stays at 1 , makes a slight ticking sound in the handle that is it . Sent second one back and got a new one . Third one seems to be working . They have good Customer service and want to try and make sure you get a working machine .
