Prtetty good to install besides needing a 5/8 bit for the knuckle and a 7 degree reamer goodluck finding that ,luckily a local machine shop had one and i finnaly got everything installed also did alignment after .. jeep drives perfect no bump steer or deathwobble also upgraded to adjustable track bar to help

Great design. Very heavy & the way the tie rods are made i couldnt see them breaking. I would recommend this heavy duty steering over the others ive seen. Make sure to buy the reamer to install it. Only good for 4 inch lift or more.

Very good quality, however, the bar does need to be shortened in order to fit an XJ , had to cut off 1 inch from each side of the main bar because it was too long and wouldn’t allow you to get an alignment, both front wheels were sticking out a tad bit like a V-shape with no room to adjust. After we cut an inch off the bar on both sides. Then you also have to cut an inch off of each tie rod from the threads, after this, it fit perfectly, and was finally adjustable. Do not cut more than 1 inch off each side, though. Also, the Pitman arm is very very hard to drill out with a reamer and a drill bit I took it to a local mechanic shop and they reamed it for 50 bucks was a stress reliever for me(just the pitman arm). Pretty sure that they make this bar longer because it’s meant for multiple of the jeeps as a universal part not specifically for an Xj I would upload pictures, but I forgot to take pictures, there’s not really any videos on YouTube of how to install. It may be rough country could make a video. I haven’t been able to find one on the rough country HD, steering kit I may be the first to make a video about this after my experience

So I would like the kit if it would fit with my stock wheels but it doesn’t. so just beware if you buy the kit you will either need to go up in wheel size or get something with a different offset/backspacing

Awesome kit and fixed my death wobble. Only issue is the you have to modify the holes that the tie rods go into. To enlarge the holes you’ll need to purchase a 5/8” drill bit and the RC 7 degree reemer, this adds another $100 to your install. Take your time drilling and reeming the holes or you’ll break the bit and/or the reemer.

I was mad when I got it, I had to delay my project because I need to order a special drill bit that should be included for the price you pay, but no you have to spend a extra 100 dollars for the bit but you don’t need to spent that much, you can just use a step bit and the smooth out the steps once you drill out the knuckles
Matthew Paget –
I did not like that my product arrived bent, I really did not like the fact that this kit required me to permanently modify my vehicle to only use RC tie rods. The rod ends are junk they did not last very long at all and rough country will not warranty them out because I ordered off Amazon and not directly through them. So after spending high dollar for this kit 1 year later I’m stuck choosing between paying rough country another $250 for another set of joints that last 3500 miles or buying a stock pair of steering knuckles and stock steering set and a stock pitman arm for who know what that’s going to cost. Do not buy this kit unless you like throwing away money to have your Jeep death wobble.

Nice heavy built part. Easy to install, works great. Already took it out and really bashed it on a big rock and it didn’t budge.
