really enjoyed playing this game
a lot of story…a bit dialogue heavy, but enough action to balance things
its a turn based but you get to interact in the battle which makes things much better

If you enjoyed like a dragon 7 you will for sure love the sequel, the combat is more fun and engaging, the story is great and it’s a very long jrpg. I’m already looking forward to the next one with this great cast of characters.

This is my first introduction into the series. I’ve always avoided it in the past as the videos seem silly. I had trouble trying to connect the Yakuza theme to all the trailer videos of silly side games. After seeing five stars after 5 stars, I just had to pull the trigger and bought it on sale.
I finally get it now. It is like a cozy RPG. You are not out to save the world from a evil warlord or dragon. You are not under some time crunch of a falling meteor. You are just some chill dude trying to make a living, help some people along the ways, and level up.
In terms of those three, I have not gotten far. I’m just on chapter 4 of 14. Money wise, it is trickling in, but it is a bit daunting to have a wallet in the low thousands, and walking into stores with million dollar gear. From what I’ve seen online, the money comes later. On that note, the game mechanics seem very spread out. But with that said, it does not feel frustrating. Fights are fun, and when you start to level up, you can auto-win battles and still get cash and xp. The game gives the option to auto-battle, but it isn’t really necessary. It just does a great job of balancing the challenge so you aren’t bored.
In terms of helping people, this does a great job of creating a system where you go around helping friends and randos. Along with that, it creates a great story. Half the stories have a surprising emotional element which should be easy for most to connect to.
Leveling up is fairly easy to do. Majority of street fights can be completed with just simple attacks. Skills (magic) can help finish fights sooners, but the MP costs can be expensive ~ 22mp cost with a character that has 54mp ~again, I am still at the start of the game, so maybe it gets better later. I normally save magic for these “King” battles. Basically they are strong foes that will block off a section or treasure chest until you defeat them.
Overall, the game is fun to play. I’m not feeling any stress or anxiety trying to prepare for major battles. It really changes the view when you are fighting a crooked cabbie who is trying to steal your wallet versus saving the city from marauding raiders planning to kill all the townsfolk. Side games are a bit goofy, and it reminds me a lot of the whole Sega Genesis games in terms of the bells and whistles and simple gameplay. I love the little pokemon parody games. Just thinking about it, made me realize just how much time I am spending on the playing environment over the main quests. That probably explains why there is only 14 chapters. There is no pressure to complete the main quest. I’m going to have to take a look at buying some of the older games in the series once I complete this. Now that I get it, I am loving this cozy RPG.

As a long time Yakuza fan I have lots of expectations and have never been too disappointed with a game in the Yakuza/Judgment/Like a Dragon franchise. If anything this game exceeded my expectations.
The opening chapter/prologue is a little drawn out more than in other games so keep that in mind when you start. The game doesn’t really start moving until you leave Ichinjo.
There are plenty of mini games to be played which I won’t spoil but any RPG fan will get a kick out of each of them. This is content above the excellent turn based RPG the game revolves around. Story is compelling as always and even newcomers to the series should be able to enjoy and feel the emotion put into it by the writers and voice talent.
The one negative is that new game + is locked behind DLC ($20). You also can’t set difficulty until new game + and the game ends up being a little too easy.

Great game but how was it delivered so fast??? Magic! I ordered it at midnight before going to bed and it was at my door before I even woke up! Oh right. I’m supposed to review the game. Game is great. I’m a big fan of the Like a Dragon games. One can easily spend 200 hrs on this game. Price per hour of entertainment we are talking pennies!

I thought the first Like a Dragon was better because of the story, but this is still a great game. Fans of the Kazuma Kiryu series will probably get more enjoyment out of this but, even without knowing too much about his story, the game still keep me entertained until the last battle. Looking forward to what’s next!

The Yakuza and Like A Dragon series need no introduction. The series has been around a long time now and even though the series has been ongoing for over 20 years and is still able to remain fresh and exciting is a testament to the hours and hours of work RGG Studio lovingly puts into it. Each new story they tell is easily going to eat up a lot of your time and Infinite Wealth is no different, there are side activities that could easily have you crossing the 100 hour playtime line. Packed with content, there is never a shortage of stuff to do and interesting world building and character building to find as you explore Hawaii & Yokohama & Kamurocho. I am not exaggerating when I say that despite the bar being insanely high, they somehow manage to get better with each new tale and I am already craving my next dive into the world of Like A Dragon!! This is one to remember!!

Awesome game.

My first Yakuza game and I understand the hype now!
Game came new/sealed, included a sticker/poster and DLC code.
My only complaint is the game disc inside was loose but thankfully there was no scratches/damage to the disc.
Santiago –

I seriously do not remember laughing while playing a video game so much in my life! Hilarious!! The graphics are great. Love being able to explore in first person mode. I have only been playing it for a couple of hours and it has already completely made me a huge fan of this game. Truly excellent in my opinion.
