Product works perfectly with the VENUSTAS heated hoodie jacket. I decided to order this which will definitely keep me from having to worry about running out of battery juice with the battery pack it comes with. I paired this cable with an Walmart ONN 20K MAH power bank and works with no issues so far. Will update if anything occurs, but as of right now it’s working great.

If you have heated gear, buy yourself this. You can use your battery banks for your heated gear. I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner! I have so many 20,000 mah battery banks/packs and they are small and flatter than the typical battery that comes with the heated gear.

Hight recommend this to anyone that has heated gear

Double check the size of the DC plug. This did not fit Venustas heated jacket.

Works great with Milwaukee 12v jacket and a PD power bank. Allows for using larger capacity banks vs the supplied 2Ah…longer run time. I my case I’m seeing 8+ hours at high vs 2-3 with supplied battery. I also picked a power bank that is much smaller and more comfortable to wear for long periods of time without getting in the way.
Cable is small in diameter, not bulky, just the right length (long enough to connect without issue but not so long as to get tangled or be a nuisance in the jacket), and connects directly to the male barrel plug in the jacket. Definitely recommend for the jacket! Make sure that your power bank supports PD and depending on your pack the cable will either keep the jacket in standby mode or you will need to power cycle your pack to get it to respond.

Very impressed and is affordable (under $15) and makes the jacket much more usable.

My heated vest battery pack failed and would have been expensive to replace. This allows me to use a smaller but higher capacity battery pack that charges quickly at 18w.

I would suggest this in addition to the pack that comes with your jacket so you can use any battery pack you’d like.

I bought this for my Milwaukee heated jacket to use for a power bank I bought on Amazon that was cheaper than a Milwaukee battery, more comfortable being rectangular as opposed to the Milwaukee round M12 battery, and has 6x the ampere-hours. But this cord could not get the two working. The jacket would not turn on using this adapter. I bought a different, less expensive dc adapter and that one worked great.

This little dongle is absolutely perfect if you have a jacket that normally uses power banks with a 12V 5.5×2.1mm barrel connector directly on them. I found that 5.5×2.5mm also fits. (The latter number is the inner pin diameter.)

There’s only one problem. The description mentions it can trigger with both USB PD and QC 3.0, but I found it does not speak Qualcomm Quick Charge at all. My test setup works fine with other trigger cables, so I believe this one is just USB PD only. I don’t know if that’s really an issue, though, as a power bank with a USB-C connection SHOULD support USB PD. The only situation I can imagine where you’d only have QC but no PD is on a very cheap/old power bank, or if you’re using a USB-C to USB-A adapter.

PD negotiation is perfect. It asks for 12V, and as long as your USB-C power bank supports 12V output, it’ll output 12V on the barrel socket. There’s no internal conversion. Make sure to check the specs on your power bank; if it doesn’t have 12V output you’ll the next lowest voltage, usually 9V. (That’s typical for PD triggers like this.)

So, if you have a heated jacket (or really anything else that uses 12V and 3A or less), and a USB-C power bank or charger with a 12V output, this will work great. You just don’t have the versatility of using a QC-capable port like the description says (through a USB-A adapter), hence I had to knock a star off.
