I bought this because I was looking for a gooseneck kettle to make better pour over coffee and needed something compact so I could bring it to the office if needed. Small enough to not take up room but large enough to boil water for at least 2 cups. Stays hot long enough and boils quick.

I bought this because i make a lot of Vietnamese coffee in the traditional pour-over coffee filter. I also use a Bodum pour-over coffee maker very often. I mainly purchased this because of the fact that this long-necked electric kettle was about the same price as a regular long-necked kettle.
And I am loving this kettle. It is a very well designed appliance. It does not whistle but that isn’t important to me. It heats VERY rapidly, much faster than a kettle on a stove. It automatically shuts off when ready. The handle is comfortable and pouring over the Vietnamese coffee filter is so much safer, easier than a traditional kettle.
I cannot express this enough – do NOT overfill above the fill line. And when the kettle is full do not tilt the pot even slightly backwards because boiling water will leak. there is a tube inside the pot near the top and if misused, water will fill the tube and leak out of the bottom, possibly causing burns. this fact should be more prominently expressed in the instruction manual and it is not. I was not burned but when i first filled it i noticed this. I looked in the manual but eventually figured out the issue myself.
Overall I highly recommend this kettle.

I have only had this kettle for a little over a year and it doesn’t shut off by itself anymore. When you shut it off, the switch is so hot it burns your hand and it looks like water is in the switch.Strange and definitely defective. Would not recommend this product.

The base is very light, i need to hold it down when i lift up the kettle, otherwise it will get lifted up with the kettle. There is a tiny discoloring inside the kettle. Buy otherwise a very good little kettle that is simple and functional. Looks nice too.
