Temptations are a nutritional abomination. Although they dare to brag the snack is “made with real meat”, the first ingredients are fat and a bunch of grains (wheat, corn), gluten and soy… and somehow require multiple added flavors. If it was only up to me, I would not feed my cat this brand of food. But there are desperate times when I need to get my cat into the carrier to move or visit the vet, when I need to give her pills, when I need her to become friendly with new people… or there are moments when I think we all deserve junk food from time to time. So I have to always have Temptations in the house, because nothing works like it.
I sometimes think my cat would kill me just to get her Temptations… the sight of the pouch puts het in crazy mode. She meows, she pushes, she tries to steal the bag.
Otherwise, the bag delivered from Amazon was a good deal, huge bag, it’s as fresh a shelf stable snack made with tons of chemicals can be, stinks like cat food. As my cat grows older, these softer treats work better for her. Although I doubt she actually gets to chew them, even considering they are on the larger size.

I have more cats than I’m willing to admit on here. Various ages. None of them will eat these. None of them. None of my son’s cats will eat them. None of them.

Pill Pockets are the standard recommended by vets, but my cat only ate them for like two weeks before he wised up and started eating the treat while avoiding the pill. Then he just stopped eating them at all. We tried these instead, and since they’re actually made to be treats first and foremost, he likes them better. The bad part is, the treat does split when I insert the pill, and sometimes falls apart. The good part is, he’s so eager for this treat that he eats it anyway. Even if the pill has been knocked off the treat it was stuck to, he’s so just licking my hands trying to get all the treat that he’ll just eat the pill by itself. I definitely recommend these for cats who need medicine! You just might have to do some finagling to get the treat to stay together if you cat is a picky eater and will only eat the pill when it’s covered.

These treats are rather large. My solution is to break them in half and they are perfect. I have a cat that gets a pill every night. I give him a treat before and after the pill. He has become very picky and he loves these treats. He actually comes running and jumps up to the chair to receive his pill and treats.
