VEGA Warrior Motorcycle Half Helmet With Sunshield

I was looking for a 1/2 shell helmet because I sweat profusely from my head when I am wearing the full faced helmet in the summer. I find with this half shell helmet, I get a lot more air. My head does not sweat like it does in the full faced helmet. I like the fact that there is a knob in the back that you can adjust it to be tight against your head. The quick release mechanism is great. It is well padded. The sun shield gives extra protection from glare. It runs true to size, I have always purchased a medium in helmets, and this one fits perfectly in a medium. I would purchase again if I were in need of another helmet.

I have never worn an open face helmet before but with the increasingly hot temperatures in South Florida, riding with a full face will be a thing for the winters only, or for riding out of state in other climates. This helmet is light, holds tight with the size adjusting strap in the back and the ratcheting chin strap. I like that the drop down visor does not interfere with my prescription glasses or even goggles. The straps are padded and comfortable, covering my ears. Ear plugs will be a necessity if you want to ride on the quiet side, and to be expected I guess.
So, why the four star? The sizing chart shows I should be using an XL (head size 24.5 in) but that would have meant the hassle of a return. I ordered the XXL, opened up the back size adjusting strip to the max, and then it fits, snugly, like a helmet should, except for the temples were there is a little more pressure than I like. I’m hoping it will ease off with time and will not be an issue.
A perfect helmet would be a five stars. This came in pretty darn near to being perfect! Just order a size bigger and you should be alright.
Update:
I wore this helmet for seven hours today, in a mildly hot and rather dry day for South Florida. I wore a balaclava and my prescription glasses. I was surprised to experience how comfortable it felt all the way.
On the positive: Cool, lightweight, unobstructive visor.
On the negative: Wind sounded loud to my ears; ear plugs to the rescue.
The perfect helmet, like the Holy Grail, is a never ending search. For now, I’ll keep the closest thing I’ve found.
I bought the Vega Warrior in Pearl finish. The XXL has a XL dense foam liner, making it really an XL size helmet. It helps to have the adjustable ratchet but it is not a true to size fit. I normally wear a 7 5/8 or 7 3/4 hat for reference and this helmet fits, barely.

The VEGA Warrior motorcycle helmet is the most comfortable, best-fitting helmet I’ve ever owned. The interior is nicely stitched, hugs your head very securely and keeps you cool. The flip-down shield is nice as it fits over my glasses. Extra shields are cheap and come in Chrome, Smoke and Clear. The quality and features are a step ahead of the rest of the lower-priced helmet competition with glasses-friendly drop-down shield, removable sun visor, and adjustable size. Great value for the price. Highly recommend.

I got mine with the Vega helmet with the Patriotic Flag graphics and have received many compliments.
The drop down sun shield works fantastic and fits over my Px. glasses. It does not rattle, is easy to use, stays in place, and has great clarity.
I am pleasantly surprised at only about $80 how well this Vega Helmet is made. It fits great, and the adjustable headband is awesome when wearing a skull cap or beanie under helmet .
I have an HD helmets that the graphic is pealing off after just 3 years that was cleaned properly w/ only warm water. This Vega is as good or better than my HD helmet, IMHO.
Bottom line , glad I didn’t save a few bucks, (or spend more) and be disappointed in a different brand
