I just got my TerraSky and these are my first impressions.
Likes:
A very bright light (will update if my plants like it)
Several of the preset light spectrums are fun
The light covers the full width (not depth) of my tank
The rainstorm settings are very nice
Dislikes:
The remote feels kind of cheap
Several of the cloudy day settings don’t have any noticable affect
Its great for a tank thats 12″ deep. Mine is 18″ and I need to get a second light in order to illuminate the back of the tank. The 120 degree angle limits it to just the front half of my tank.
I took pictures of some of the presets. My camera isnt the best so these all look better in person, especially the rainstorm.

I like this but it can’t be used on a timer (will shut off but not turn on) also the remote control battery I had to change already and is not as responsive as it should be. The setting for cloud cover and moon don’t work as I understand those to be but I use them. The sunrise and sunset work as long as you go from off to on. The moon settings are a bit bright, looking at the images for moon settings one is super bright. That being said I use it daily and it’s better than other things I tried. Once the remotes figured out it would be much better. If I could understand the settings on the remote because instructions are unclear I would be happier.

I don’t have any animals under this light yet so can’t comment on it for that, but my terrarium plants have been growing like crazy, better than under my actual plant lights. A+ exoterra, love the product so far!

I use it for my young nepenthes terrarium and they seem to enjoy it they’ve not sulked or skipped a bear from being in the nursery greenhouse and all growing new leaves and pitchers
Also blue, coloured, lightning effects and bright daylight.
In my pics I’ve added it’s a half light for the “sunset”

I use these lights with my snake enclosures. I like that I can adjust the day and night light brightness from cloudy to full sun and half to full moon at night. It even has a storm setting with lightening. I have Pothos in my enclosures and they are thriving with this light unit. Many options for light color, too. Adjustable arms to fit many sizes and a remote control to select what setting you want. Very easy to install and use. Doesn’t get hot like lamps and built way better than any light unit I have used . Lightweight which means it won’t sag a screen if you have that for a topper. I highly recommend this for any reptile enclosure.

Pros:
People have complained about the remote, for a LED remote best I’ve had. People say they’re flimsy and low quality, I haven’t found that.
People have complained the difference in light setting aren’t massive, well they’re meant for growing plants so they have to stay with in the luminescence range for plant growth, If you have good hard scape the lower light settings will cast more shadows. Its down to how good you made your layout the light can’t do everything for you.
Another thing I have read is that the instructions are hard to follow and they don’t know how to use the remote properly. The instructions are like 4 pages just breaking down the features, they are not even needed since the remote is very straight forward and it works just fine.
Cons: No timer, it would be nice if you could set on a timer when to switch from day to night maybe even create a light range at this time i want this brightness, this time should be full sun till xyz, then night for xyz would be good.
overall summary: Very good product for the price, people are generally just not good with technology
