Like others have stated, the D string wouldn’t intonate… for reference I have a Telecaster Ultra Luxe.. doubt it’s the guitar.
Other than than honestly exactly what I was hoping for. Great tone for chords and rhythm! Honestly they hold tuning very well I could intonate the other strings perfectly. What’s up with the D? Had to use my old D string. Will be looking for another brand of consistent flat wounds

I don’t know how they can call these “flatwound” – there’s clearly a scratchy layer on top of the strings, and you can feel the grooves with your fingernails.
The squakiness is even louder than normal roundwound strings.
Straight into the trash bin they go.

The sound and feel good. I’ve never used flatwounds nor steel strings on an electric before, and I was surprised that it took several days of playing and stretching them before they stopped slipping out of tune. Could be just me or my guitar.

Le uso per suonare il rock e le ho prese perché mi dà fastidio il suono dello slide con le dita su corde normali.
Lo trovo distraente dal suono della chitarra elettrica. Il risultato è davvero buono: niente fruscio e davvero confortevoli da suonare.

I found out the hard way that cheap flat wound strings break easily, usually when you’re putting them on, and if the “good” ones are those $60-$120 per pack strings, then I guess I’m out of the flat wound business. But fortunately for me these were neither $60-$120 nor were they cheaply made. In fact they feel really really well made. I have always loved flat wounds on an es-335 or on a Sheraton guitar and these didn’t disappoint. The low strings thump and the high strings are bright with a bite, and if you add a touch of slapback delay and a smattering of hall reverb, they are perfect for anything from psychobilly and cow punk, to rockabilly and 50s/60s Hank Sr. country…. and i suppose they’re great for jazz and fusion as well, if that’s your bag.
Case is nice telecaster fits perfectly lots of room inside the storage area. Has a super great look that gets attention ! –

The only strings I use anymore are the GHS Precision Flatwound 9-42’s on my electrics, and 12-50’s on my acoustics. These strings hold their tone for months, intonate perfectly up and down the neck, and prevent the “squeak” when moving fingers during chord changes. Excellent product compared to some other name brands I’ve tried.
