A bit pricey but very functional and user friendly…setup was a cake walk and looks very elegant. Wish it had page holding clips as well… that’s the only thing missing on it…if i’m using it sitting under a fan, the pages would fly and turn by themselves which is a bit annoying…so one star less.

These stands are sturdy, they don’t move around or spin like those either. I have only used this for personal practice, so it hasn’t been subjected to the rigors of my middle school band students. From what I see, if it broke, it might be harder to fix than the Manhassett, but that’s just my opinion. I think that unless the students lean on or throw them, these stands will stand up to a lot. Easy to adjust with one hand. I’d love to test these out in a classroom setting, but I recommend them for small ensembles and single person use for sure.

This stand is well made. The reason why I chose this one is because it has a release button to raise or lower the stand. It was easy to put together. My daughter is happy with it. Just make sure if this is a surprise or present for someone, that they don’t read the box. It tells what is inside.

We have had this music stand and it’s horrible. Just sitting in the garage. The minute you place a music book on it, the book holder slides down slowly. This, not a heavy book, I’m talking 1 lb or less . This is apparently a known problem with this Hercules (just Google this model #). We went to a local authorized Hercules vender and they could not help. I did not return the item to Amazon because we threw out the box and difficult to find a box to send it back to Amazon. Useless!! Research before buying.

We bought this for our church and it seems to work well. It adjusts well for height, is not too heavy, and has a large surface to hold sheet music. Our organist/pianist was very pleased with it. It does not fold up for storage, but it was very simple to assemble.
