Our existing under counter wine cooler was over 20 years old and constantly iced up and needed to be defrosted. This new Kalamera wine cooler was the perfect size to fit into the existing space and appeared to be a great value. It is a definite improvement over the new unit in many ways. It was a dual zone control for both white and red wines. The temperature selection is easy. The shelves pull out easily and can hold 8 standard size 750ML bottles. The blue LED light is a nice feature. It runs very quietly and is hard to detect that it is even running. It holds the temperatures well and has a quality, upscale look that looks great in our kitchen.

After doing the due diligence, I finally decided on the Kalamera 15″ 30 Bottle Wine Cooler” that had 4.5 Star average review of total of 147 reviews as of 2/3/17. I figured that it was a no brainer since the overall reviews were excellent.
First Impressions:
Packaging: Inadequate. The box is not fully enclosed. The bottom side of the box is open. This is where the wooden palette is attached to the refrigerator. The bottom of the package actually has a wooden palette. The overall packaging did not feel adequate.
Aesthetics: The appearance is nice; however, it sits too low to the ground. Consequently, you are not able to see the interior temperature of the cooler. To see the temperature, you have to bend down good bit to have the visual on the temperature display.
Deal Breaker Issues:
The 30 bottle capacity is completely bogus. There are 6 shelves and each shelf can hold 3 bottles. So the overall capacity of this cooler is around 18-20 bottles not 30. By the way, the bottom shelf is not as deep (approx. half as deep) as the other 5 shelves.
In terms of cooling: Current Cooler Temperature reported incorrectly: The temperature display does not show accurate temperature inside. It’s off by 10 degrees. In other words, the interior temperature is close to 10 degrees *warmer* that reported by the temperature display.
Design Flaws:
– Temperature Display not viewable even from good distance from the cooler unless you bend down to the Display’s level.
– Bottom of the front door has a rubber stopper that is suppose to prevent the door from accidental openings. However, the same rubber stopper causes the door to not properly get closed unless extra force is exerted to close the door. This extra force also cause the refrigerator to shift around.
– The trays are of cheap quality (one of the trays is broken in that the glued part of the tray came off). The sliding mechanism is not well designed. These trays look especially cheap when you compare them to the exterior of the cooler.
Miscellaneous:
This cooler is compressor based and therefore sounds just like a regular refrigerator in the kitchen. As a matter of fact, when measuring the loudness (in decibels), this cooler measure about 10 decibels *higher* than a full size Samsung 28 cubic feet refrigerator. I do want to put the noise level in perspective, though. Even though this cooler as loud as a refrigerator, the noise is not disruptively loud.
At $600 price point, this cooler has some critical flaws like cooling is not adquate.
I would **definately** NOT recommend this cooler to anyone at the $599 price point.

We love our wine fridge. It’s perfect for the size that we were looking for. It has a blue light inside which makes everything look really cool. It holds a perfect amount of wine. Temperature is perfect. We are very happy with our purchase.

Product and dimensions are as stated online. After much online research, selected this product, which was highly rated for its size, for purchase. Product arrived undamaged by UPS and driver assisted with getting the product up the steps indoors. Product was easy to install according to the directions provided and fit a built in spot well. This was a replacement for a Frigidaire 52 bottle Wine Frig that only lasted 3 1/2 years. Product fits the number of bottles as stated, has easy to read and operate separate temperature controls for top and bottom separate compartments for white and red wines. The product has nice blue led lighting and runs very quietly. So far pleased with the purchase and hope this one lasts much longer.

Very pleased with this wine fridge–which is our first foray into having a wine fridge at all.
As others have mentioned it can be tough to get to the full 46 bottles if you have pinto noir or chardonnay sized/shaped bottles, but that’s the only drawback. It looks nice, keeps a steady temperature, and is quiet. Highly recommend!

We originally purchased our wine fridge in August of 2018 and used it as a standalone for several years of reliable service. It looked great and maintained temperatures in the separate compartments well. It was a little bit noisy, but nothing that really interferred with TV or conversation (it was in our living room).
We recently remodeled our kitchen and created a space to use the fridge as a built in. Unfortunately, after a couple of weeks in the new location we noticed that it was running continuously and not cooling. We had a service technician look at it, who determined it was not repairable.
Disappointed that we had just created a space for this fridge and now were without one, we first checked with Kalamera to see what options might be availabe. Even though it had been 6 years since our purchase, they offered a 50% discount on a new fridge. We were very pleased with this offer and were happy that we’d be able to keep the same fridge. The new fridge is working great, is much quieter than the original (we have to strain to hear this fridge running), and has all the same great features of the original.

I just purchased my 4th Kalamera 24 inch Wine Cooler (46 bottle). These are a great wine fridge, dual temperature zones for white and red, led lights, nice styling and a very reasonable price. Their customer service is also very good. If you’re looking for a wine fridge, I’d definitely recommend a Kalamera.
