I received my K&M Double Bass Stand and it was very easy to assemble, it is very sturdy and stable. I took photos of it with my bass only and I wanted to see if it will support my bass with the gig-bag as well. I had to adjust it, but is does support the bass with the gig-bag on it; that was my main reason for buying the bass stand so I can support my bass with the gig-bag on it. It is made very well and the only thing I can think of is, they should improve it, by making the arms adjustable where they can slide outward to fit basses with gig-bags more easily. Overall the K&M Konig & Meyer Double Bass Stand is will worth the investment for any musician that needs to support their double bass instruments for protection or just to keep it in a safe position. I do recommend this bass stand and no musician should not be without it!

This is a very well made and portable upright bass stand. I use it on gigs just so I don’t have to lay my double bass down between sets. Love it for home use as well. It’s a little pricy but we’ll worth the investment!

Because of orthopedic issues, I need the stand while I play so I don’t have to worry about holding the bass and possibly falling with it on stage. It holds the bass securely and it’s easy to set up and adjust. It’s nice having the bass on the stand all the time, not only to display the bass’s natural beauty but to just easily walk up and start playing.

Nach wie vor ist der Ständer intuitiv und leicht zu bedienen.
Neu Eigenschaften des Nachfolgemodells:
РAufnahmepfanne ist keine Kunststoffschale mehr sondern aus Metall und dreiecksf̦rmig. Dadurch rutscht der Stachel automatisch in die beste Position.
– die guten, bisherigen Schrauben wurden durch bessere Flügelschrauben ersetzt.
– Es gibt ein “Hörnchen”, das man aufstecken kann und als Bogenhalter dient.
– Die Aufnahmearme werden nicht mehr geschraubt, sondern über einen Federwiderstand einfach eingerastet.
– Das Beste zum Schluss: Die Aufnahmearme hatten früher am Ende keinen Gummi und bei unsauberem Reinstellen wurde das Instrument verkratzt. Diese ärgerliche Sache wurde mit dem neuen Modell komplett aus der Welt geschafft.
Der Ständer ist rundum ein gelungenes Produkt, das allen Kontrabassisten sehr zu empfehlen ist.

This is my third double bass stand. The first was the Hamilton folding stand. I never felt confident in its strength. It seemed very light and flimsy. It lasted longer than I expected but after a year or two of regular use, it broke. Luckily it failed slowly enough that I was able to catch my bass before it fell.
My second stand was a super rugged stand from On-Stage. It is practically indestructible (It’s still perfectly functional after more than a decade of use) but it wasn’t until I got it home that I realized it only holds the bass with the endpin up. Laying down the bass to adjust your endpin between sets on a crowded stage stinks. Not to mention how impractical it makes switching between upright/electric. It also makes it inconvenient to grab the bass at home and try out an idea really quickly (which is the main reason I store my bass on a stand at home)
This stand seems to be the best of both worlds so far. It’s far more rugged than the Hamilton but it holds the bass with the endpin extended. I’m quite happy with it.

I have never been dissatisfied with a K & M product! This item is included. This stand gracefully cradles my 3/4 sized bass with elegance and safety. I can stand it in the corner when I’m between cleaning and polishing, or simply taking a break in my practice schedule.
It’s true to their quality standard.

OK.. So, I got an inexpensive stand up after finally looking at them forever and just impulsively bought one.. A cheap Cremona.. After trying to hold it, I knew I would need a stand to hold it while I played.. Well, It was more of a want than need.. The Hamilton looked flimsy and this one seemed to be the only other one that was of this style and seemed to be effective.. The price seemed high but I ordered it anyway..
I really do like the stand.. It is sturdy, holds my 3/4 size bass just fine and is not obtrusive for me to play the bass while it is in the stand..
I suppose with so few products like this on the market, that is why it is so expensive.. I know this sounds cliche but I would have given it 5 stars if the price were even just $75. In terms of quality, I do think this is a bit overpriced for what it is.. Still, I am happy that I have it. In terms of market demand, it is one of only a few on the market and it just seems to be much better than the Hamilton solution so I will say that If you need it, I think this is the one to go with..
